Nice Jack! I miss fishing for GT's (Great Trevalle). I did quite a bit of surf casting while living on the Pacific Island nation of American Samoa during the 1980's. My PB Great Trevalle was a 65# black one. It bit on a homemade lure made of a piece of 3/4" wide x 8" long stainless steel banding with a 6/0 treble on one end.

Thanks! 65 pounds is insane! I bet it fought hard. How long did it take to land it? Catching it on a homemade lure is about as rewarding as it can get.

I been in orange for 6 days now, fished the Pass, Canal, Surf, and Lagoons. Nothing but Pinfish and small Croakers. I feel your pain

I'm ready for warmer days too. I'm all about those nice hot days with lots of fish. It has been a very slow December for me as well. Finally got on some fish yesterday for the first time in what felt like forever. Hope you have a great Christmas as well, and as always thank you for the support Joseph!

Thanks! The Jacks are more of a spring/summer time fish. I've never seen one caught this time of year from the beach.
