When I see you both with Luce, I wish every child could have parents like you. The love you give her is reflected back in her beautiful face and manner. She is clearly a happy child. I look forward to seeing her each week and whenever I need a smile, I come back and watch her. Thank you for sharing the visits to the properties. I think one would need both a lot of patience, resources and $ to restore the homes you showed us today.

I love to see these old homes with all the treasures inside. I can only imagine how it was to live there so many years ago. What a simple life it must have been.

If I were younger, I would consider buying something like you just showed us and renovating it. What a treasure you could make of each property. As a side comment, we all are aware that it is just about one year since Luca's traumatic health situation. I love how you can see the potential in every property. I only saw potential in the 1st property and even that one looked like a ton of work. I so respect how you value the history and try restore everything you touch. Luce is fun and beautiful.

On the second home, I would tear it down completely,and build a new one. With those gorgeous views, as good size terrace is a must...I think it would be cheaper to rebuild than remodel. Italy is beautiful !!❤

​@@victoriaromero3587I'm not sure if they'll allow that, it seems they want to keep the character of the town by keeping the building as are. So maybe you can only renovate but nor tear it down.

What's the name of the town Sara? I'm interested to come look. I would love a project where it's livable enough to live in while renovating. Only me but can hire some help but I want to do as much as I can. I like the 2nd property but I'd like a patch of yard to grow some food and flowers. I really love the area too. My daughter is an artist and might want to follow me and get her own home and art studio. We have been interested since we started hearing about these beautiful dying/almost ghost/ towns selling the 1 Euro houses. Both of us have art backgrounds and have wanted to slow travel to Italy for art and cooking classes. The Blue Zones also are huge to us with Sardenia close. I might email you.... thank you so much!

I am staggered by how much belongings are left in these properties, that first house you said hadnt been lived in for 10 years but all the furniture was still there, even a cardigan over the chair in the bedroom - how come all these things are left? These were amazing properties for people who want a project and have the money. So nice of your to do this so viewers can see. Actually about roughly 50% of houses in Italy are left with the furniture inside for the new owners. Why? They don't hassle with removing it because the truth is they ain't bad off, if you understand what I mean.

I am so impressed by Sara's ability to speak multiple languages so well. I teach French and speak Spanish, and I know how difficult is to switch languages fluently.

I love this channel! I mentioned to my wife that you were showing off market homes that people could buy. She said that the prices are great for someone that is good at DIY (I am not) but you should offer the places for the price PLUS the cost of having them fixed up and “turn Key” or ready to move in. This might be attractive to many viewers to have the place finished prior to moving in. It would also be a source of income for the workers in the town. The biggest PLUS would be NOT having to negotiate and find qualified and skilled contractors that you already know. ❤

Agreed. If they had a contractor with them on the tours, they could give estimates for all the necessary structural work. I would never take in a challenge like this, Italian beuarocracy etc,but it could help someone make the decision.

And so good to get thise houses fixed, before they become beond repair. I have my house. If not, I might have bought one. And I will say you are one of the top youtubers I follow.

1,000 years old! - built to last, for sure. The first house, looked as if someone was still living there, furniture, onions! No cobwebs or little critters. Almost move in ready. Please tell us, if any of your house picks sell (through your videos). If I could, I would. Seems someone should. Always fun to dream a little.

It would be interesting if you could find some locals willing to let you film their home to show how they've renovated and upgraded some of these old buildings. This old Italian architecture is very foreign and unique to American eyes, so very much older than any of our typical homes here (which will never stand the test of time like these old Italian homes!).
