Grampy doesn't need a thinking cap to know how to deal with people who abuse animals.

True- but it's the *method* of how to handle the guy, and show him he's wrong in his approach to dealing with animals that he had to ponder.
This was actually the very first Betty Boop cartoon I ever saw. We had just gotten a VCR in the late 1980's and one of the first tapes we bought was a collection of old beat-up public domain cartoons, of which this was one. It has always maintained a special place for me and I am more than pleased to see it again now, looking (and sounding) perhaps even better than when it was originally released.

Are you me? lol I had the exact same experience in the early 90s. I remember the cartoon right after this one on the tape was this one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/imaoycSnk7LVfc4.html
I felt like I connected with an old cartoon for the first time watching your restoration. Like watched it as someone in the time period would have experienced it, as art that’s fresh and cool and relevant instead of some ancient opaque curiosity. What an experience. Thanks for these.
The relentless cruelty in this cartoon is so absurd I can’t help but laugh.
I love how you've even cleaned up and restored the soundtrack! MARVELOUS work! Welll done, all!!
Thank God, The Original Titles is Finally Found, Tysm for Finding this! 😉
I saw a very degraded unrestored version of this on a VHS tape back in the early 90s. Amazing what modern restoration techniques can do. it really betrays the age of this film.
“What no milk?!” Dude you gotta milk it to get milk.
Grampy got that Tokyo Drift.
Gorgeously illustrated and beautifully animated. Sheesh!
This is sooo good. I wish they made cartoons like this today. If it was now days the abuser would get redeemed instead of punished. Although he probably wouldn’t be abusing animals in the first place now.
Love Betty Boop classics! Thx 🙏
Hell yeah, Professor Grampy! Got his ass!
Thank you. Always delivering quality content
I can see how the soundtrack from the cartoon body (separate from the opening theme) is taken from another source
It's both sad and impressive how relevant these cartoons are.
We love this! Sort of in the same vein as the "Brotherly Love" Popeye episode. THANKY YOU for restoring these artifacts!

WOW! Just wow!
Thank you for your work. That was the best looking Betty Boop cartoon I've EVER seen. Excellent work :)
I’m going to join your Patreon soon, when I have time because I’d like to see the original negative restoration of The Fresh Vegetable Mystery (1939)! :)
Grampy is honestly my favorite Fleischer character.
Beautifully remastered ❤ great job!
Great restoration work! Loved it!
Thank you very much for uploading this video! I think that your older upload was less cropped. Of course, this one has less image noise and better brightness and contrast.
Originally released in November 1936. "Be Human" by Bob Rothberg and Sammy Timberg.
This is actually amazing

Sometimes it's just a cartoon. You're the idiot injecting current-day politics into a film made over 80 years ago!
