Humility could also be people who don't live their lives seeking glory. Maybe the Lord wants such humble souls so he could lift them up. Through the spirit of God and not by might.

Yes I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Pray America would take heart of this message. When you have been strengthened, go forth and reach out to the lost and out casts and make America great again. God bless and keep America, shalom. Pray for a revival universally and for the President Trump of America . Amen.

so salvation is by Grace through faith plus work?

  • @sinfulyetsaved

Andrew Dozier depends who you ask there are 23 thousands different denominations ea with its own spin on it.. I do not believe the early church ever taught once saved always saved.. the word salvation in the Greek is called soltoria that greek word in the bible is a verb not a noun it is a action word.. its like this.. say you won a car im a giveaway.. its free right you won it.. but there are things that must take place for you to drive off in it and expirence its Goodness.. plus you will have yo maintain the vehicle, put gas in it to keep it going.. etc.. salvation is a process.. this is what early Christians taught they are in the writtings of people such as saint Anthony the great, st marcarius, and many more.. unfortunately, protestants ignore 1500 years of Christianity.. and so tho they are well meaning there is a lot of unanswered questions and or not very good answers to the questions..

It's not that Christians ignore 1500 years of Christianity. That's not it at all. The reformation came smashing through the era of religiosity. People like John Huss and John Wycliffe were persecuted to no end by the hands of the saints which you speak about. The reason for the reformation was not because someone had come up with e "new" theology. You see, the forefathers of the reformation released that men had corrupted the teachings of the early church. The true early church. Meaning the first 300 years. What Jesus Christ did on the cross saved. It did merely make people "savable." If that was the case Jesus would have been much better off saying, "it is almost finished" rather that saying "It IS Finished." A blind man can't make himself see, and a dead man can't raise himself back to life. It's not that we have ignored the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. It's that we have rebuked the teachings of a man-centric gospel.

You assume too much im not roman Catholic the romans departed from the faith its understandable why he did what he did.. But there is much more to the church you just said thats what every good protestant is taught to respond.. i am eastern orthodox and orthodoxy has helped explain everything roman catholiscm and protestants could not or at least not very well..

I didn't assume you were Roman Catholic my friend, and I wasn't taught to say what I said. I've invested much time studying the early church. It something that I still am and always will be studying. I've held many of conversations with Protestants over doctrine. The only thing I stand on is the Word of God. I don't argue on the side on man, or for a specific denomination. I don't hold to "almost early" church traditions, or believe that something is inerrant because a it came from the mouth of a pope or priest. I will say this though, "blessed is the man who is counted righteous apart from works."
