I traveled Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦 and I felt racism. 1. On a bus one girl kept staring at so she could see every detail of how I look. She was trying to look straight but actually looking at me the whole time without saying hi or any friendly gesture. I felt very uncomfortable throughout the time. 2. A transport guy at a station refused to sell me tickets while helping everyone even those coming from Europe 3. A croat woman refused to talk to me english but moments later she spoke english with a Slavic men just in front of me at her grocery store and said its upto her who she wants to talk and said she speaks English too. 4. A group of Bosnian men offered me to a hostel or some hideout place assuming me I am a undocumented refugee. I felt terribly scared by their behavior. 5. One street vendor accused me of Arab as if Arabs are rude while failing to sell things that I don't need. Very unwelcoming. All these things happened just in one day. I saved myself runningaway to Albania. Kosovo and Albania absolutely much better. People are truly awesome there.

I don;t know man, i am of Indian descent and have lived with Bosnians and they have been very polite and kind, It's probably due to the fact you are vlogging and pointing a camera around and openly speaking in a language not known to them, which would kinda baffle anyone especially in a country that is not used to vlogging scene, a more inconspicuous option would be to hook a go pro to your chest or backpack along with a lavalier. Like for instance if you were in india and pointed a camera at one of the shiv sena guys you would get slapped(i;ve seen this happen), so its not racism per say its just the annoyance of being filmed.

Europe overall from Turkey to France, has been facing large waves of refugee immigration from Syria and Iraq so when they see any dark textured people they mistake you to be a refugee. You should always stand up against racism. Don't give such idiotic advices to young people travelling abroad. If you dont stand up to injustice then you will not be respected in the world.

West Mostar is infected with extreme racial ideology. Mostar is also mostly Muslim, not mostly Croat, but de facto segregated between east and west and Croats are a majority in certain areas. Bosnian Muslims are more moderate and culturally open-minded, but after migrant crisis exacerbated by Hungary and Croatia failing to meet international obligations dumping migrants who subsequently stayed in Bosnia-Herzegovina, some of whom were badly behaved, many Bosnian Muslims became less tolerant of foreigners.

We definitely don't mind India at all but unfortunately had trouble with these pedestrian illegal migrants from countries that aren't at war like Pakistan, Iran and North African countries, usually escaping justice in their countries and causing problems here because the EU won't let them pass. However almost all of them say Bosnia and Montenegro have the chillest police and friendliest people.

Mostar and Sarajevo that he visited are cities with quite developed tourist offer and people who don't judge so it might just be a misunderstanding or a single occurence. Bosnia did experience a 23% tourism growth between 2018 and 2019 and trends say 2022 will beat 2019 if we don't get Covid Gamma or something.

Mostar is mostly full of nationalistic Croats, Bosnians are a lot friendlier and hospitable. Croats can be as well but not so much in Mostar

If I have old Schengen visa and UK visa of 3 years back from 2017, is it enough for entry into Balkans?

I was in TUZLA for One day, and some woman were wired AF. When you ask them something they just ignored u.

i remember i watched one movie of one country which came out of soviet union,like kyrgizistan,kazakistan ,uzbekistan ,turkmenistan,tazekistan---and showed some youths literally beated one european tourist removed everything even cloths and threw him in dustbin and one of youth later commited suicide---these past communist countries are extremely complex in race relations(they can't even get along with other white people).thank god they did not beated you.hostel managers in such countries will always awake you.our confidence is based on our democracy thats why we dare to trust but they are brainwashed not to trust other cultures.

Yes you are right. You are not obliged to pay them . But just give couple of euros . Yes they are getting extra income but atleast they are performing somthing for ur entertainment instead of begging like we face in india. Yes He was wrong to take ur camera to delete video and he was racist as he targetted you in place of others. But you were also stingy. You would have paid begger in traffic light in india. After bad experience I would have left that place but you still sneakily took video. A typical indian behaviour. I have been in Europe. Sometimes these street performers play indian songs wen they see me. I just give chillars because I have enjoyed their performance.

I'm Pakistani Punjabi and brown skinned with a beard. I had been to Bosnia and the Balkan countries in 2019 and never ever experienced any form of racism. These people probably knew you were an ''Indian/Hindu'' and since they watch the international news and realized that your country is committing genocide against Kashmiris, Sikhs, Christians and now Muslims in Karnatak, they decided to be hostile towards to you. Bosnians do not watch international news and only the few educated people have head of Kashmir. Some parts of this country are infected with collectivist mentality which caused the infamous war. There was a migrant crisis, and Bosnian Muslims who were moderate became racist after crimes were committed, which received a lot of publicity, by migrants who stayed in Bosnia (and received treatment and accommodation) after they were beaten up in Croatia and Hungary.
