I’m planning on getting the Barracuda Pros on my birthday and reviewing it. The video will be up on the 20th of September.

As an aside, I experienced a audible difference in power and quality when A and B comparisons between my older iPhone six and my android phone. Not sure if it's a byproduct of the extra camera dongle, but I did hear this difference. It wasn't blatant, but it was present.

I bought one of the apple lightning to usb and it had charging capability but it works it is apple branded as well

Great review, but thinking about THX I wonder how do they work with movies. And if its possible to use it with dolby atmos for head phones ?

Whats the best one to use with tidal on iphone and anthem amp and use anthem dac ?

Can you play it through a integrated amplifier and speakers would you get the same quality as the headphones

I hate apple products. As a desktop support tech i almost have to use an apple phone just so i am familiar with their OS. I will never own a apple laptop. As such its such a bummer how ridiculous it is to try and use a cool product like this with all the janky adapters. Great video as usual Michael, CHEERS!

@@Youthman I use an adapter with the iPhone and it sounds amazing (although not important, I use the TC28i ddHiFi adapter). When I use the Onyx directly with a USB-C iPad Pro (12 inch 2020) or Macbook Pro (15 inch 2016) I get a lot of static, sounds awful. Is it just me?

My legacy 900s ear cups fell apart within 3 months. They sound really good though.

And started wearing out about four months ago. I ordered a new set from their website. Fortunately, they’re inexpensive.

@@Youthman ... This THX Onyx looks to be both premium and beginner for sure. Not a bad thing. Been rocking Creative G6 a few years now. It's a versatile little guy, if you want another item to try!

Other apple adapters work with it. Same with unoriginal ones. Have it and tried it

They are mostly designed for headphones. I’m not sure if it has enough power to drive a pair of bookshelf speakers. Then you would have to also figure out how to connect them

Have you tried the Onyx directly into a USB-C iPad or MacBook. It's so distorted for me, sounds worse than bluetooth. Is it just me or?

*Durability Concern* I've had two devices with THX linear amplification in them, the Onyx and Fiio Q3. Both have ended up blowing out and the treble ended up absolutely horrenduous sounding. Just get an Apple dongle or Schiit Fulla 3 for gaming, both are cheaper and 99% of people won't ever tell the difference.

Be afraid to use it? Is it gonna have a deep note shit in that thing?!
