Hi! Just started bdo last week with a Succ Musa on season server. Like the Pve but pvp looks difficult to master. Do you recommend me playing succ ranger for pvp content (node wars)? Just looking to maximise my fun as a casual

Musa isn't too hard, the protection is easy and the damage is based around simple super armour. Just to clarify what you see in this video is awakening ranger which is difficult to master. Succession is mechanically easy, I have guides for it, although it's been improved since so I'll probably get around to updating them but the core of it is the same. The issue to being a successful succ ranger is positioning as the class is extremely vulnerable. If you think it looks more your style though go for it.

Coming back into the game, would really appreciate answers from someone that has put a lot of time into ranger. Is shotgun not viable in suc? Is Suc or Awakening used more for pve and how well do they do in endgame grindspots?

Shotguns good as either, obviously better as succ. But no your main dps rotation will not be to permenantly be shotgunning left and right. You’ve got more fun and balanced skills to play with. You’ll still be using a decent lil bit of bg+shotgun filler if you want to. Not really sure what your question is getting at about shotgun? It’s good and iconic still idk... Both succ and awk are used in pve just fine & is up to your preference, and you can swap between them semi freely.. so yea . certain areas call for succ’s large aoe, some areas you might get faster clears with awake movement. small hourly rate differences bound to happen, Just play, lol.

Shotgun isn't the pumper skill in the kit but it's useful for forward guard flowing from other abilities. However succession is about to get a buff to dmg on shotgun so we will see. Awakening is preferable in pve but succ can be viable and is great early on. Awakening is a lot of effort in pve though apm wise.

@@nuri5608 yeah end game awakening is better but a lot of work and isn't so great where you need aoe. Succession is just generally mediocre/below average. Might be okay at gyfin now after changes it got.

In capped it's actually relatively good but in uncapped it doesn't really bring much that other skirmishes couldn't do better. Poor mobility is also a crippling factor

im 51 once i hit level 60 will i be able to survive in pvp? cause i really love the way this shit looks please tell me 🤣

This is capped tier 1 which you can do with season gear so yes. I have a tier 1 node war guide explaining what you need (all that's changed is you no longer need a special offhand)
