BCG GAMMA Data Scientist Interview - Real Interview Questions
I appeared in Data Scientist Interview at BCG GAMMA and in this video I'll share the questions asked in #BCG GAMMA #DataScientist Interview. There were in total 9 questions from various data science concepts and this video will help you get accustomed to the type of questions asked in real Data Science interviews.
The test was round 2 and I also share the #interview process.

Thanks man. You are doing a great job. It's actually the type of videos I was looking for. Just one request, please provide your solutions if not with the video, one month later will be great. Atleast we can cross check if it's correct. SInce you are an expert in this field, it will give us, amateurs, a great boost in confidence if we are correct with our approach. Once again, thanks a lot. Please keep on bringing more questions.
Nice overview. THANKS for sharing this.

Thanks for providing high quality content, really helpful for interview preparations. Would be great if you could also provide us with solutions discussions of this one and previous interview experiences

Glad that you are finding the videos helpful, Saptarshi. Sure, I’ll. In the meantime it would be a good practice to go through the questions and solve them which will help you revise your concepts and be better prepared.
Hi! how did you prepare for the interview? How many days? Thanks
Thanks man, this is very helpful!! Can you share the link to the notebook if possible ?

@@EverydayDataScience Do you know how to prepare for the next rounds? What do they ask?
@EverydayDataScience

@@PurpleTurkeyPatty Next two rounds were Technical Case Interviews and Business Case Interviews where they gave cases which needs to be solved using Data Science. CASE IN POINT is a great resource to prepare for CASE interviews.
Very nice vid sir.. is this a kind of test where it go thru automated checks to mark your answers or does some person read your code and give it marks? and does hackerrank allow u to execute code to check things, like maybe u wanna do df.head() ? finally what libraries can u use? In this example u might want statsmodels for the regression.

Great questions, Joe. Since this test had subjective questions as well where you had to write the answer in text boxes, I was told this will be checked by a person. Unfortunately, it didn’t allow me to check things. All the libraries can be used: numpy, pandas, sklearn, datetime, statsmodels etc.

@@EverydayDataScience Well then, we need to be more accurate than usual as we cant check our script just write and submit. :|
Hey, do you have the answers somewhere?
Hey, can you share the notebook?
Thanks for the video. Do they actually provide the datasets (csv format ?) and can you execute the code locally or on their platform. It's not really a coding test if you can't run the code. Thanks
@EverydayDataScience

Yeah it was strange for me too that I wasn’t able to run the code. No they don’t provide the dataset in CSV format. It was just information about what columns dataset has and what those columns mean. Based on that I had to write codes for the questions they asked.

Can we get answers for these questions?
Did you have access to the documentation of libraries during the interview? or did you have to write all code from the top of your head? Thanks in advance!
@EverydayDataScience

There was no documentation but you can use google to search if you are unsure, it was not an issue.

@Junhyeon Seo would you mind sharing your solutions? I am struggling a bit with some of the questions and would like to compare answers :)
Can you share the answers please ?
is it just me or do these questions actually seem not that complex? not trying be an ass but i feel like im missing sth, it seems too straightforward compared to other coding interviews

So basically you just applied in order to be able to leak the test?
@EverydayDataScience
2 жыл бұрын
Lol, I applied to get into BCG. But there are visa things to be taken care of if you familiar with the process and rules in the USA. So I just shared my experience with people. And if any company asks same question to everyone they interview, that’s their problem! So if you want to think this as “leaking the test”, you are welcome to. I think it as experience sharing 😊

@@EverydayDataScience It is not experience sharing in my opinion, as you shared the exact questions that they ask in the test, and I know it cause I did it too. Also I'm pretty sure that they tell you not to share the test information. Anyway there are 5 more steps after this test, so they will select the right people anyways 😉
Do you think you are doing some great service to prospective candidates and the IT community by sharing a company's interview questions & format? You lack basic professional ethics. And I hope this company hasn't offered you a job! And if they have indeed offered you a job then you should be sacked. This is one of the most brazen videos of dishonesty and treachery that I have ever come across. And you are presenting it as if you care two hoots for the company. Develop some professional ethics for your good.
