Моя мама мне подарила две пластинки с канатами Баха" Ich habe genug" и Bauernkantate "Wir han' ne neue Oberkeet" У нас новый начальник нашей сельской общины..Мне тогда было около 12 лет. Эти пластинки и воскресные музыкальные передачи из ГДР вызвали интерес к Баху и к музыке Барокко в целом. Про Генделя у узнал также, но из нашего тогдашнего радио. Спасибо вам, Алена!

Et je repense à tous ces chefs d'orchestres qui se sont échinés à ne pas faire "du Richter" et qui se sont tous plus ou moins vautrés. Il n'était pas indigne de le copier pour perpétuer la grande tradition Luthérienne, et celle de la musique de Bach, qui, contrairement à ce qu'on voudrait nous faire croire n'a jamais vraiment été éclipsée en Allemagne. Au lieu de cela nous avons eu droit à des gesticulations et des parodies lamentables, des "reconstitutions" farfelues presque inécoutables. Richter a remis Bach dans sa lumière originelle et l'a imposé comme l'évidence qu'il n'a jamais cessé d'être car c'est le SEUL humain à avoir été le trait-d'union entre le céleste et le terrestre. Toute la chrétienté, au minimum, devrait se signer et se prosterner devant un tel miracle! Quand aux impies, il serait bon de les convertir en douceur par le biais de sa musique...

You are so right. After Richter, everything is a regression. He embodies the 'peak' of the great Leipzig Bach tradition through his masters and Thomaskantors Straube and Ramin. His successors, who couldn't neither equal nor surpass him, tried to cancel him, unsuccessfully! He is still the first choice for Bach, Haendel and many other composers: Ein Musiker der Ekstase and die Bruckenbauer ins Uberirdsche, as well said by his biographers. 'Hardly any 20th century musician could come closer to the role model of a Saxon cantor, and so to the ideal of J. S. Bach himself as Karl Richter'.
