BC Rich USA Gunslinger cost $3000!! Free Form Friday Ep.10
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the price. That's so stupid! It's a single pickup, single volume bolt on guitar. $3000 for a new BC Rich Gunslinger just because it's built in the USA?? Good luck with that. Also musical guests, comedy, unboxings and more!
It's the 10th episode of Free Form Friday right here on GearGasms!

Guitar prices are sad. Used prices are sad . For example spark amp is 280 new and they saw them on their used guitar center website for 260 or 270. That's sad than others follow the same pricing

@@GearGasms You bet I'm subscribed. Your channel is awesome, and very funny too. I find the prices of these guitars absolutely bonkers. On the bright side, as a player who was never into trems I love how many options I have these days for string through body, hardtail and Gibson style bridge guitars there are. Everyone is building them, like Schecter (I own one), Charvel, Ibanez, ESP, etc. My thing is getting a guitar like my cheap Schecter Diamond Deluxe, which was just $250, and popping in some DiMarzios and a good set of 10 gauge strings, either Ernie Ball Cobalts, D'Addario XL or NYXL, and I'm ready to rock.

@@GearGasms I might get an ESP Horizon fixed bridge. I had an original Horizon with a licensed Floyd back in '87, the first generation of the Horizon. I got it over a Jackson Soloist because I thought it was not only more guitar for the money but absolutely superior, more cutting edge, sleeker, etc. It was the mother of all shred sticks back then because it gave the Soloist a run for its money. It came loaded with an X2N knockoff that sounded good but was terribly noisy and a very good Hot Rail knockoff in the neck which I kept. I changed the bridge pup for a real X2N and it eliminate the noise, sounded better. It was black with an unmarked ebony fretboard. Ebony is a fantastic wood. It's warm but also has a nice brightness to it. A nice balance between maple and rosewood. The only reason I sold the Horizon to a friend around 1990 was because I had tired of locking trems at the time. I sold it to a friend for $500. I had purchased it a few years before for just over $700 with a case at a shop in West Los Angeles.

Now this is a weird story! ===================================== It has been claimed that mention of the "Gatlin boys ... there was three of them" in the song was a reference to The Gatlin Brothers. However, in The Billboard Book of Number One Country Singles, Rogers stated that he was unaware of the connection, and that he would have otherwise asked for the name to be changed. Larry Gatlin also gave the song a positive review ("It's a good song"). Writer Billy Edd Wheeler denied that the lyric was a reference to the Gatlin Brothers. Larry Gatlin later claimed in an interview on The Adam Carolla Show that the song’s co-writer, Roger Bowling, had a personal grudge against him for reasons unknown. Gatlin then explained to Carolla that when Bowling won song of the year for "Lucille" during the 1977 CMA Awards, he (Gatlin) approached Bowling to congratulate him for winning. Gatlin told Carolla: "He said, 'f*ck you, Gatlin!' I said, 'What?' He said, 'F*ck you!' I said, 'Let me tell you something, hoss. If we weren't in the Grand Ole' Opry House dressed up in tuxedos, I would just open a boot shop in your 4ss.'" Gatlin further stated that those particular exchange of words with Bowling resulted in Gatlin‘s inclusion in the lyrics to “Coward of the County.”

Yes they are charging way too much. Maybe they should bring back the affordable Chinese line. If I had the $3k to spend on a guitar in this terrible economy i would buy i a slash Victoria les Paul goldtop , hands down. And it's a shame, I would buy a couple cheap gunslinger and exclusively play those . But it is laughable what they're asking for .

BC Rich is now a bloated over priced has been brand. Nothing like the awesome brand it used to be. For $3k I can buy 4 pro level Schecter guitars and be better off. No Gunslinger is worth $3k. Even if CC DeVille used to own it, snorted coke off of it, pissed on it and let it dry. Nope. Not for me and I love BC Rich guitars and the Gunslonger being one of my favorites.
