So for the side burner does the gas just shoot through the black pipe to the burner? I can see a gap in the black pipe is that normal? Thank you

I was worried about the exact same thing with mine, glad it seems to be normal!

Same for my grill. I was pretty sure that I installed it wrong, so went searching the internet. How that works, why it does not leak through those enormous holes in the sides of the pipe?
