This was 1980! That's 40 years ago now! They couldn't see into the FUTURE with a crystal ball! Unfortunately, as with Sa-vile, nobody knew about Harris at that time!

Yea I would have been 2 years old at the time. My mother would have been around 22 and by dad around 30. Neither of them are with me anymore but like you imagine them watching this at the time.

I realise that I’m about 11 years late to the party but the announcer on this clip is Mike Gamble (not Robin Whitting). Not that it’s important in the overall scheme of things I suppose. Lovely clip by the way, really good quality.

the Spinners cool , I've never missed a Spinners gig ! well maybe one or two, well ok I have never seen the Spinners , but I would gladly give up a night in the pub to watch them, well no I wouldn't but it is good to see them on TV now or next Christmas , the Spinners on the Telly and a box of chocolate Brazil's is there anything better ? .

I was ten and a half then - last year at junior school. Didn't like Ray Moore's voice because it was so deep, sinister and frightening. I turned the sound off every time he announced programmes!
