I actually know someone that is exactly like the husband's character in this play........ .. I know him very very well and When I visit him I see how he struggles to get around. One time I asked him if he needed my help and I started to sweep the floor, cause it, needed it. He screamed at me again he said I will, get to it. Then later that same day, I saw him mopping that same floor. I see him struggle as he Maneuvers the wheelchair and turns it and then drags the mop, bucket.. - The easiest everyday things that we all do : - The term of household, chores : Life is very hard for him but him being so strong, willed & pigheaded and proud.... He - Dominic refuses any kind of hqelp... sweeping, Running the, Vacuum cleaner. whattever he tends to do : You can clearly see he having a hard time in his manual wheelchair even doing the wash at the laundromat. I can. continue on and on, now his situation is he has spinal injury.. This is why he can't walk he can't use his legs at all. We've been close friends since grade school. In the kitchen and cooking he's fine with that the biggest thing he enjoys is to cook or bake things and share them with the other residents in his apartment building. But there are days when he cannot even lift his left his left shoulder from Dominick's injury. So, getting back to his tplay the hell and wicked pain that he has, That turn into getting angry the husband gets because he could not do anythingq... So Dominic can really relate to the character in this play. He has listened to this many times
