VV - I remember this event well and I definitely recall it being broadcast on the Monday. Back in 1981 I used to finish work early on a Monday and so was home in time to watch the early evening news. I realise this was in the days before instant 24/7news, but this happened on a Monday 26 Oct and wasnt reported until 30th Oct , the lapse of time also might be a deliberate attempt to wait for & conflate the issue with a false alarm about a royal visit to wales- almost immediately after . Does anybody have any further information or news footage of the 26 Oct attacks- which did occur, and were quite big at the time, but were clearly played down in media ? Very grateful.Please paste to YT.

For some reason, this was known at the time, and was reported, but was censored from all reports a few days later..maybe because the Oxford st bombing was more sensational , or maybe for some other reason I dont know. Would be very interested to hear from anybody who was in the media or the police or even residents who had heard about bombs that same day that were in the residential areas- in particular: the area, or the street names if they can remember them.
