FINALLY someone finished the aria properly. It doesn't make ANY sense, dramatically speaking, to go from Low G to Middle C. People's ears ASK for a Low C after Low G. As for technique, I have several points to emphasize, but she is a young singer, she is still in development. time to develop a beautiful, solid voice. It's in the way. In the right hands (which is very hard to find nowadays, but it exists), this woman goes FAR!!! The mezzo/contralto version of today's Sayoa Hernández.

The role of Ulrica in UN BALLO IN MASCHERA is for a contralto , and Miss Barrientos is just incredible; not only had the notes needed for the role, but her phrasing is is perfect, plus the voice quality is extremely beautiful -in all registers. @@HenrikBergpianorganist There is a trained dramatic soprano who chose to sing theatre and R&B who can do low Ca like this as well. Unmiked and strong and dark. If you check my ‘most preserved voices’ video I showcase her voice a bit. And she sings a low C in several pieces she does.

Perdón, pero no supera a Podles. El cuerpo oscuro y parejo de la gran polaca se mantiene en todo su registro. Encuentro a Barrientos una gran intérprete, con agudos de mezzosoprano. Podles es difícil de superar.

Her voice is amazing, but I really like contraltos, so ... Between you & me :: If you also like contraltos, check out Romina Boscolo on KZread singing Ulrica's aria / scene. If you haven't heard her ... her lower-register isn't normal even for a contralto. I don't want to take away from the singer in this video, but I feel that opera fans should always hook-up other fans w / phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal voices. Please, let me know what you think after you hear her. She surpasses what you described.

@@ilyasakhundzada6604 I agree. This is not a "free" sound. It is manufactured, a "held" sound. Obraztsova sound was freely produced and probably much bigger in the theater. This is a good voice and a good talent but not trained to be a great one.

@@Dennissssimo Почему Вы думаете , что До не слышно? У неё голос крупный, сложно записывается и микрофоны во время записи срезают её нижние обертоны. Она поёт тембрально ровно .А это сложно сделать

Per una cantante moderna la pronuncia molto chiara, cmq.dovrei sentirla sul palcoscenico. I concorsi non mostrano il vero valore del cantante. Correlli, Ghiaurov, Herlea, Freni non erano famosi per vincire i competitizioni ma per quello che hanno fatto in teatro.

Не нахожу оснований для восхищения этим довольно слабым, но отчаянно форсирующим, малопрофессиональным голосом. Дефицит вкуса и художественного интеллекта позволяет сделать прогноз, что певица со знаменитой фамилией будет продолжать петь в том же духе, а значит, будет петь недолго. Кардифф меня неприятно удивил. Каковы же были остальные участники, если это - победитель? Правда, есть основания и для оптимизма: при 28000 просмотрах нет ни одного лайка! Кардиффскому ареопагу надо учиться у ютубовской аудитории способности суждения. Впрочем, я что-то слышал о пресловутом британском юморе...

Voice is actually not developed enough. She should have more chestvoice mixed into her voice higher up in the middle voice. Yes good range but why sing notes that Verdi didn’t write? I’m sure he knew voices Better than this singer…
