I wish we could have seen more from him. But, he sees all the love and appreciates it. Physical Death is just another part of our journey in life, and he is still with us in spirit.

Baylan was by far my favorite character in Ahsoka. Hopefully Disney honors Ray by continuing his character.

Ray truly was brilliant. He stole every single scene he was part of. Even though we knew nothing of this character, he managed to convey so much depth, it became uncanny. May he rest in peace. Thanks for making this Pano, you did an amazing job as always.

Phenomenal actor. Don't know anything about his personal life, but I do know he could act. He brought life to this character in a similar way to Alec Guinness in the original Star Wars. He captures every scene he's in. I feel bad for whoever has to replace him as Baylan. I almost feel like they will write his character out completely and make it a total mystery as to what happens. No matter who is put into the role, people will compare them to Ray.

Dude carried this show lowkey. He really was able to convey the idea that his character was going through some serious shit and made it believable.

I don't know how you replace this guy if you want to going forward. He stole every scene he was in. He took the role seriously and man, he is going to be a fan favorite forever.

On one hand i don't want a recast because of how amazing Ray performed until the end. His legacy his last role. And then i really want to learn more about Baylan Skoll he seems like such an intersting character. If they should recast the role then maybe Vincent Regan would be a good choice

Never underestimate an old man in a profession where young men die. He is as old as Anakin would have been, to survive so long is simply incredible. I wonder if he could meet Luke just once, and see the Chosen One's legacy in all it's splendor.

It truly is a tragedy that he's dead. May his performance live in our memories, like those of Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and others whose work made this franchise great.

Ray was a treasure, and Baylan was one of the greatest characters ever.

I am honestly shocked how quickly he became one of my all time favorite characters in Star Wars. Genuinely a stunning performance. A deep character with tons of mystery and backstory. Ray, thank you for the impact you've had on this universe.

He reminds me of how Alex Guinness was able to portray such depth to a character the very first time the character came on screen.

As cool as it was to see him in his baggy Dark Jedi robes when Ahsoka first approached him, I'm glad they gave him a fur cloak and let his face be seen for the last scene.

I loved everything about this character. His pressence, his costume design (loved how he looked more like a medieval knight than a monk) his delivery of lines. Everything about him was on point. Even people who ultimently did not like the series have to concede he was great. I do not envy the next actor who has to fill in his shoes.

Just finished the first season of Ahsoka. The character of Baylan Skoll is so well executed, the writing, appearance, acting. Everything was on point.

i went into ahsoka blind, thought "ah im sure it will have some fun moments even if its bad like alot of star wars content these days". i immediately loved Ray as Baylan, i was telling my mates things like "im like 3 episodes in, its a decent show.. only one really good character carrying the show" and that was baylan. such a shame to then find out Ray had actually passed away and we would not get to see more of him going forward. i dont know how they can replace him

Disney caught lightning in a bottle with this king. The man carries himself like he stepped out of Highlander. We were all of us robbed with his passing.

Funnily enough, the best thing about this show. Not Thrawn, defo not Ahsoka. But this new character.

Loooved this so much man. Baylan Skoll had a fascinating mystery to him and a undeniable truth to his philosophy. The music you selected here had a melancholy to it that matched his essence so well! I still can't believe Ray Stevenson isn't with us anymore. A true tragedy because he's not here to receive the overwhelming love from this fanbase for his outstanding performance. Although he can *never* be replaced, I truly hope that whoever carries this character forward not only does Baylan justice, but does Ray justice as well.

Man, to think Baylan and Shin would be these new characters we've never heard of before and yet have us truly captivated. Captivated with the potential Lore that may yet surround them. Baylan's PTSD and longing for the family the Jedi Order once gave him is... a tragedy on its own.

By far one of my favorite recent Star Wars characters, Ray was a perfect casting for the character. His demeanor, His tone, Hell even his physical build (He's VERY BROAD SHOULDERED) Just give me full on knight vibes. It's really a damn shame in a general sense that he passed away and in an acting sense, glad we got to see him introduce us to this absolutely stellar character before he left us far too soon. Rest in Peace Ray Stevenson, Wish you could've seen the positive response everyone has had for you! (This tribute is absolutely perfect and emphasizes how amazing many of the scenes he had were)

I loved how his design made him look more akin to a europeon medieval knight rather than monk (like most Jedi). Whenever I think Jedi, I tend to think swift, nimble, finesse based martial arts. This guy was not only quick, but he also conveyed an intimidating raw physical strength. All of this backed up with one hell of a performance. This guy was easily the best new addition.

RIP Ray, man brought a new character to life that has now placed itself among some of the greatest written characters Star Wars has ever produced. It's a shame that he will never know how much we love his character, as he reminds me of Qui-Gon Jinn if whe leaned more towards the darkside, a mirror counterpart. Rest Well Ray.

This was perfection. I’m obsessed with the music you found for it. Baylan quickly became one of my favorite Star Wars characters due to Ray’s performance. You did him justice.

Dude I was watching this and so many ideas were flooding through my mind. Then I saw the comments and learned the actor had sadly died. If disney had done all these shows instead of the sequel trilogy to build all the lore up, and then given us a proper sequel trilogy THIS GUY would've been the best fucking villain ever. I can just imagine a ragtag team of Ahsoka, Ezra, Sabine, old Luke, and maybe Grogu coming together to fight Baylan Skoll. Now we'll just have to constantly have the thought of "I wonder what Baylan's up to atm" for every star wars release after this. That said I hope his character doesn't get recast. He plays the old man tired of even older broken systems so well. May he rest in peace.

My favourite new character in SW and best character in Ahsoka imo. Stevenson brought so much depth, complexity and strength to his role. While I'm gutted he is no longer with us and he never got to see the appreciation he gained, at least his performance has been immortalised on film
