Bayerisches Restaurant (Monty Python)
Ich wurde von einem aufmerksamen Zuschauer auf einen Fehler hingewiesen, was die "Bratkartoffeln" anbelangt: "Bratkartoffeln" = "Pommes de terre sautées" (also nicht "sortiert" sondern "sautiert").
Hierzu eine kleine assoziative Bemerkung:
"Sauter" (französisch) = "Springen" (deutsch)
Dies gibt der letzten Szene ('aus-dem- Fenster-geworfen-werden' des Gastes mit der Szene-abschliessenden 'sautierten Kartoffel-Beilage') die Pointe i.S.v. "Der Sprung aus dem Fenster"...

To me, it is not about Bavaria but about a tourist's (often well founded) fear of being ripped off and made a laughing stock in a strange country. Also pokes fun at national clichés in general. Lets do a Restaurant exactly like that.
How wonderful! Just great 👍
"My Dad is Texas Ranger".

As a person who grew up in southern Sweden and was taught to speak german from an early age, I can only agree with Amier. Yes, this is accurate. And it's extra hilarious that John Cleese managed to get the phrase "Jenseits Gut und Böse" in.

Die Amis haben die Hose nass....
I studied German in England until age 18 (then and now quite rare) so this was nice to see. I am sure we British did not mean any slight on the Bavarians.
Almost so good as the "don't mention the war" from Fawlty Towers
Das ist genial!
