Great in depth review and one of the most informative GTI exhaust videos I've seen. Although I have an MK6 GTI, the sound is very similar to the MK7. I have 3” catless TBE (BBE DP and Magnalow CB) but it had the same drone. I recently added a Vibrant 17950 and it’s perfect now. Completely quiet in the cab and less raspy outside with a nice deep tone. Sounds refined. I appreciate the input and help to make the right decision to eliminate the drone. Thanks again 😊

The suitcase system sounds great - it's got plenty of noise from the outside vs. stock but the interior noises is really low. Nice!

Totally agree! You may have to make TWO trips here for a ride: One for the Stealth Dual and another for the Stealth Suitcase. I think I'll have a Suitcase within a month or so.

As someone who recently installed an APR dp, lives in SC and wants a new exhaust, I'm still undecided after watching this whole thing! I play a lot of "noise" through my speakers all the time and don't mind a sportier sound.

I guess it depends on your age, tolerance, and whether you think you'll tire of it, as I have. The "Stealth Dual" is great on the highway, but a tad tiresome in city driving. I guess I'm getting cranky as I age. ;-) I have a "Stealth Suitcase" on order and look forward to running with it. Thanks for writing!

Can I ask, what is the stealth suitcase setting you back? I'm leaning towards Jake's downpipe and resonator, but curious how much the exhaust would run. Thanks for your videos!

Thanks for writing, Jack! I don't share pricing since material costs change and I want my videos to remain as timeless as possible. A case in point: The very real supply chain problem and the flow of precious metals from Europe used in catalysts has driven costs up substantially in 2022, as have the costs of other materials worldwide. For the latest pricing info, I recommend either searching the term "Baun Performance" in Facebook or his KZread channel. Good Luck!

I've watched this video over 20 times with 2 different pairs of headsets. I think the Stealth Suitcase is the best sounding from what I can tell. Everything sounds different from video to in person, but do you feel the suitcase is an easy daily choice compared to Vibrant to OEM catback? My original set up probably sounded like Jake's aggressive, but not refined as his setup. Went back to OEM because of inspections and I can't bear it anymore.

I agree with your assessment about the Stealth Suitcase. In fact, I have one on order. But "Shhhhh, don't tell anyone because it's a secret." ;-) I may do one last Baun video to show how quickly an average home user with basic tools and a set of ramps can make the swap (assuming one already has another one of Jake's systems). I think I'm going to enjoy having a quiet car again. Thanks for visiting!

If you watch this video, you'll see a discussion where we both note that all three exhausts have similar power outputs, but varying degrees of quiet. If you cannot make the premier, feel free to watch later. You'll see. Take Care!

Man, I wish I could afford one of these, the quality and craftsmanship is top notch, but that price is too high for me right now.

It certainly is a steep financial commitment, especially if you run through more than one setup, as I have. Soon, I hope to have the Stealth Suitcase, which will make the car fairly quiet. Save those pennies if you want the best of quality, flow, and sound control. Thanks for visiting!

I currently have a ARM catless downpipe, Baun Performance Resonated midpipe, and a clubsport S muffler. I was quite surprised how loud the setup was. I think its a little too loud for my taste. I was able to drive my Mk7 with just the arm downpipe and Baun Performance midpipe and stock muffler and it was honestly the perfect tone. Kind of regret putting on the CSS muffler.

Thanks for sharing! My wise-guy response, speaking for personal experience and razzing myself, is that most problems I've ever encountered with my cars were because I decided that I could design something better than those pesky engineers. HAHA! If I was starting over, knowing what I know now, I'd do a Stage 1 tune and STOP. My car certainly is fun, but I think it was perfect at Stage 1 and before any exhaust mods were done.
