In asia, it is common wife to manage family finances. In Korea and Japan, it is not uncommon for the salary of the couple to go into wife's account completely, then the husband gets agreed spending money from wife

It’s a common practise in Asia actually. The husband earns the money and the wife manages it. This way there’s no power struggle even for housewives because they won’t have to completely rely on the husbands, and it’s not like the husbands don’t have money at all? It’s just that their spending is being adjusted. In my dad’s case if my mom didn’t do this he’d be spending everything on drones and pointless “breakthrough” investments like he always does with the money he does receive, so I think this practise is a good thing. Though I can’t say that all Asian women are good budget managers, but the majority of married people do this.

However, it is better to just divide the responsibilities on payments such as who will pay for the utilities, children's tuition fees etc. This is in case both are working.

I didn't understood how does this work? Is he unemployed?why is he asking for money from his wife. In our place it's actually the other way😂 even if women has a job. Husband needs to give some money to their wifes

of course this is tv and their life is not exactly like it's shown BUT she seems too controlling I'd feel suffocated living with her.. I don't think the happy moments are enough for me to tolerate this arrangement

I dont think this couple will last. The husband is too childish like. He seems to think marriage is just about enjoying himself. He need to be more mature. Because when reality hits, the man need to lead the marriage. With this childish character, he cant stand the reality
