Aloha ! This place brings back so many sweet memories. I was there many years ago - before they painted the colorful gazillion steps or installed the ginormous golden stature at the front. I still remember there were many monkeys in the cave and one them snatched the banana from my plastic bag. I thought it was very daring of it to do so. Thank you for sharing the awesome video.

haha Andrew, surprisingly there was not even one monkey seen when i was there, but it was quite late and very busy so i guess they gone hiding! Glad you enjoy the video. And really appreciate that you checking out all my videos! 🙏

我想基本上是除了信奉印度教会庆祝，有些其他宗教的（我是佛教徒）偶尔也会去参与。看到那么多虔诚的信徒，自己也觉得很感动。我们这里也有庆祝九王爷诞！也是有穿针的。你到底是哪里人呀？😄

兴都教和道教是有许多相似之处的，穿针过火炭祭拜方式等等。华人也绝非九王爷还是福建人独有。

Depends on the festival. They would have already prayed to Lord Muruga asking for some boon to be fulfilled & in gratitude for the boon, they end up with such piercings.
