kinda the noise killed the last attempt when he passed the soundless (clue) part (the multiple jumps with the ! in the screen), because they clapped and the TMR's last life was over.

I don't care that he died several times. The fact he completed the turbo tunnels AT ALL while blindfolded is pretty amazing.

The Turbo Tunnel blindfolded deserves a separate video. Give the man some credit!

That blindfolded turbo tunnel run was something magical. On par with the blindfolded Super Punch Out run from a few years back. Great job TMR.

Absolute respect to anyone that's able to complete Battletoads, and even more if you pass the crazy Turbo Tunnel blind. Good job as always TheMexicanRunner! ¡Apoyos desde México!

@@CopiousDoinksLLC Nah, he didn't do a barrel roll and destroy blockade ship. ;) Hooded Man, Battletoads is one of the most infamously hard NES games. Ironically it's because so many enjoyed playing it and most is doable. Despite clunk/glitched games on NES, this was still one of the harder games out there. Very difficult. A bit unfair, even. Appropriately, just like TMNT for the NES, what with anthropomorphic Oh, and Castlevania II. That one was just unfair at times. Enemies popping into a platform as you jump towards meant you had to use your whip at the perfect pixel moment. Guh.

The way I see it, if someone doesn't like TMR, it's THEIR fault. Not his. :) He's damn good people.

I was in the room for this (I'm right in front of the guy in the orange beanie when the "TMR!" chant starts before the run), and the energy level in the place was outstanding! TMR did a fantastic job, and man moments like this one make me miss in-person GDQ's so much more. This was my first GDQ, and I can't wait to get to do more of them soon!

Never seen this game done this way before. Kinda new to GDQ and laughed so hard at TMR dying into the hole during the snake level. Absolutely hysterical! Blindfolded turbo tunnel was absolutely insane and a joy to watch. Loved TMR's attitude, demeanor, and humor. A great run by a great man!

To me TMR could end up being one of the biggest fan favorites of speed running.

I defeted the turbo Tunnel only once in my battletoads Gameboy game and he did it blind thats AWESOME!!!

This is still hands down one of the hardest challenges ever completed in the history of gaming. I put this right up there with blindfolded Mike Tysons Punch Out.

On Terra Tubes(stage 9) to do the jump in the very beginning do you have to hold the jump button or hit up or something? It wasn't doing it for me...

Not sure if the announcer has a heavy Southern US accent, or a heavy Australian accent.

I love AGDQ, but this year felt like there was less games run than usual because in between almost every game there was a 10 to 20 min gap. I just wish there would have been more games run instead of gaps.

Wait, there are levels after the Turbo Tunnel...? ;P

Sorcery! How? What the ... did I just see? That wasn't human. Best AGDQ moment for me since first blindfolded Punch Out. TMR went from legend to myth with that one. Wow, just wow. Not sure how he can top that, but I can't wait to see him try.

Actually there are loads of DKC elements dotted throughout this game. The mincers from 'Manic Mincers' in DKC1, and the way the cogs chase you through the pipes after emerging from their little resting pits almost identically mirrors the chase section with the octupuses in Croctopus Chase in the same game. The music box level also seems like it may have influenced the intro to DKC3. Probably deliberately self-referential.
