The Griffin IIC is one of the things which happened to the 275 Mafia (Griffin, Shadow Hawk, Wolverine) when the Clans started rebuilding them. A fantastic medium cavalry 'mech, the Griffin IIC has it's problems but is mostly a successful and efficient brawler / cavalry / hunter 'mech.

I like to see Clan designs that resist the urge to shove an XL engine into everything, and the Griffon IIC is a wonderful demonstration of restraint from the Clan Technicians. Simple, robust, effective, and cheap. Great bit of engineering.

Simple, and more importantly, CHEAP, wins the day most of the time.

One of the more interesting IIC designs. Unlike some versions, this one lost weight and gained some interesting armament choices.

@@cobalt968 Seriously, if they had invaded with more of their "second line" 'mechs, we would've been screwed.
I like this mech, at least in mechwarrior 5: mercenaries in a mod.
I had no idea you were french. Between the Khan book cover and the term Quatuor instead of Quartet gave it away :)

I have no idea what the point of a HLL is. Just buy an ER PPC and yer always ahead.

4 tons versus 6, 16 damage for 18 heat, I do think the Clan ER PPC is superior in most cases, but the HLL has a place on some machines.
