Love it, always fun to see Battletech and Jay! That was the most Canadian sounding Battle Star ever - 'My Stormcrow, eh? my Direwolf, eh? and my Hellbringer, eh?'
Battletech is the part of the channel I like the most. All systems nominal!!
Man you did it again!!! I needed some good ole Clan vs. Sphere action and Bam !!! New report to watch. Keep up the awesomeness
YEAAAAAHHHH MECH ON MECH ACTION!
Great video, I am loving the Alpha Strike ! I am painting up my own force to get started on this game. Keep the Bat Reps coming!
I just bought Battletech yesterday, partly because of you. My wallet hurts. lol

He's how I found out about the clan invasion kickstarter, I'm at around $500 CAD spent so far... it does hurt the wallet, but for that I have more than enough minis for half a dozen stars/lances unlike 40k where I'd pay that per army I field.

Sadly the big ones are OOP (impudent mortal) the ruins are from 4Grounds
Awe yis big mech brawl.
Sad to see the lack of zellbrigen by Clan Wolf! ;)
I love the use of D12s! I was looking into this as an alternative but most people I play with use 1 D6 for the pilot the 1 D6 for each point of damage. Have you ran into any major issues with low rolls on the D12?
The odds aren't the same when using d12 vs 2d6. Please why the change?

Alpha strike normally uses one roll for all the damage, but or miss: they roll point by point as it represents lots of different guns firing together. D12s let you roll everything at once much more conveniently, but as you say it does also bias the results a bit, making 'sure thing' shots slightly worse and 'one in a million' shots more likely.
Also do u plan to do anymore last days? I love that game!
Thank you for creating awesome content in BattleTech. I have one question as someone who is still learning Alpha Strike, When you are introducing your Stars/Lances I notice you are using "Hero/Specific" Pilots. Are these just the names on the Alpha strike card or are you somehow incorporating the pilot cards that come with the boxes? Does using the named units give an advantage other than whats on the Alpha strike card? Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.

In Battletech your allegiance and year you’re playing will dictate what units you have access to muster. So playing Clan Wolf in roughly 3050 means I can specific units while Jay playing Eridani Light Horse in the same year gives him access to others.
Hello, I am new to your videos, so far I am a fan. I have one question. I understand switching to 12 sided dice makes it simple, but don’t you feel o Lu having one crit dice is low? Just to be clear not criticizing just looking to understand. I ordered the alpha strike manual, have to wait 2 weeks for Amazon to deliver.
How do you like playing on a 4’x4’? Have you had any issues with minimum ranges on missiles?

No issues with Alpha Strike!
Did you guys decide to ignore the "unequal number of units" movement rule (pg32)? Totally cool and waaay simpler if that is what you house ruled. Just curious.

I can't speak for Ash, but for my part I'm still learning the Alpha Strike version of Battletech and I forget A LOT of things. Hopefully doing better in subsequent games 🙂

For balance reasons pretty it's important that the person who wins the initiative should alway get the last move. If you don't use the unequal rule then the larger force effectively always has the initiative.

@@worlds-in-conflict Yeah it a lot to learn. On that note you also can't Jump and Sprint unless you guys house ruled it.
Where do you get the missions from?
22nd view in 5 min upload. Gotta be quicker to make top 10
Aren't the clans breaking engagement protocol by concentrating fire?

Can you review what house rules you are using? I do not understand the point of the pilot die with d12s
@zosoknight

The pilot die with a die for each point of damage is a rule variant from Death From Above. The d12s are new to me as well, though. Looks like they made that switch on their video from October 7th (Mercenaries vs Taurians) but aside from "we're using d12s" there isn't any more clarifying information I saw on my skim through. I'm also not sure how the pilot die interacts with the d12. Looking into a few reddit threads it looks like d12s are used instead of 2d6. It would be very useful if they linked to a ruleset document or something to make it easier to jump into their variant rules.

I’ll put together a document of the variants we’re using for the Campaign.
is that 15mm terrain btw?
The lack of torso twisting makes this game play out kinda janky.
