Battlestar Galactica and Knight Rider May be in the Same Universe
Ойын-сауық
Could Knight Rider and Battlestar Galactica be in the same universe? That's the topic I cover in this video as we explore how Battlestar Galactica led to the creation of Knight Rider with many of the same concepts, sound effects, and even a few shared actors like Edward Mulhare who played Devon.
What is the connection between the red light on the Cylons and KITT from Knight Rider? Could the Cylon A.I. be the ancestor of KITT? All these questions and more as I ask questions many other fans have asked for decades and try to answer them.
David Hasselhoff played Michael Knight and he was about the only thing not shared on Battlestar Galactica before his fast car took off on television. I also look at Battlestar Galactica connections to Quantum Leap and Lost in Space.

"ever notice that..:". then mentions what I literally thought the first instant I saw KITT in 82. Great minds think alike (and so do we).
About June and Anne Lockart also appeared on an episode of Magnum PI as the same character set in two time periods. Magnum PI was created Donald Bellisario and Glen A Larson.

Ann and June Lockhart were also in the Movie Troll, Where they played the Same Character at Different Ages.
David Hasselhoff never appeared on Battlestar Galactica, But one of his earliest roles was in a film called Starcrash, Which was basically a Star Wars Knockoff (just like Galactica).

The Hoff never appeared on Buck Rodgers either, But he did show up on an episode of Different Strokes along with KITT. Unfortunately It was an episode where he played himself, So It wasn't really a Crossover with Knightrider.

They did have the same people working on the Special Effects in both Shows. That's why there were so many similarities.
Everything is possible on tv , a great crossover would have been linking Battlestar Galactica with Buck Rogers in the 25th century

Hey you all I thought I'd follow up to the Knight Rider Battlestar Galactica connections that I mentioned on my recent Battlestar Galactica goofs and facts video while it was still fresh on my mind - kzread.info/dash/bejne/c5yllamzgtPHm5c.htmlsi=eHZRyqJMfRuXVHKF What do you all think? Was Knight Rider and Battlestar Galactica really in the same universe?

Yes of course they are from the same universe. The Cylons (all 4 series types) along with KITT and KARR (who are twin brothers) are distant relatives.
Cylon tech acquired by Knight Industries makes so much sense! First prototype had too much Cylon characteristics so they shut that down and created KITT.
I often wondered if the AI tech for KITT and KARR was repurposed from a crashed Cylon ship.
In a race of muscle cars, it'd be no contest. KITT would definitely leave the General Lee choking in his dust.
Both brilliant shows when growing up 😀

Time does keep flying by. Your videos and observations are great. I do remember a TV special where the kit car raced against the A-Team van and I think the chips motor cycle. It was called the battle of the 80 super cars.

All these three. Shows. And many more. Could have been cross overs. Back in the day. Would love to go to a universe where they were all in rhe same universe.

I see you saw my comment about “Made in USA” being set up for a future story. I originally noted that years ago I thought of it as a joke. Now we see how easily these fanfiction lore theories can grow to be taken seriously.

It's fun theorizing where a story might have went, even if it would never have really happened. You just never know about these things.😀

True. More realistically, I would make the last episode (“The Hand of God”) a true series finale by having the “3rd planet” the basestar what is orbiting to actually be Earth. It could be done in two minutes. No need for follow up, just like the end of Star Trek: Voyager. Even as just head canon, it closes the story out, and rub out G80 (save for the Starbuck episode).
Imagine if the Rag Tag Fleet reached Earth in the mid-80s, Apollo and Starbuck covertly investigating Los Angeles run into Michael Knight, KITT before having an encounter with the A-Team😉😁.

Knight Rider and BSG don’t exist in the same universe, obviously. But Buck Rodgers certainly is in the BSG universe. How did you miss that? Buck even had one of the early Cylons as a sidekick, back when they were small and friendly. Second season, Buck & friends even set off in a prototype Battlestar to find the "lost tribes of Earth". Years later, we see the lost tribes trying to find their way back to earth in BSG.

I've been meaning to get Buck Rodgers on DVD so I can watch it all the way through. I used to catch it here and there when I was a kid.
Well, give me a month or so, and I might have some thoughts about all of these shows sharing a universe.
Battlestar Galactica and Knight Rider were both created by Glen A. Larson.
what other show are in the same universe. off the top of my head, I can think of James Bond, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Get Smart are all in the same universe.
