I can relate to the part "after two hours of gameplay I stop having fun" even tho I am new player I feel like the game gets repetitive but yet enjoyable with short continued sessions

4:25 HAHA today they added an option to increase the size of the minimap, but they decreased the HUD size and removed the option to increase the HUD size. 2 steps forward 4 steps back. Great work DICE.

Dice in a nutshell

In the BC2/BF3/BF4 days, vehicles and infantry were balanced. Planes and helis fought in the air, tanks battled each other, etc. You could spar with them as an engineer, but also avoid them. With 2042, it feels like vehicles are there strictly to farm infantry kills. I would love to play a "Battlefield's Greatest Maps" title (even though I think the maps in Portal are compromised by Specialists' abilities like the grappling hook).

The best Battlefield games im my opinion was Bad Company 2 and BF3 , best maps and good guns, those 2 games made the battlefield experience fun , if 2042 ported everything from those games into portal while still being 2042 it would of been a godly game imo, best of 3 games , old,newish and current battlefield experiences in one game , something like the orange box if you know what that is

Exactly the same for me I could play either of those games for hours straight just pure fun and quality. 2142 Was also a great but I love modern shooters and BF3 an BFBC2 where on another level an way ahead of their time

Once again 2042 needs small maps im tired if running in fields

I started playing battlefield 5 in 2019 and I saw Russian Badger play and I wish I played along time ago when he played it

Great video! DICE is the problem with the franchise. It all falls on DICE unfortunately. It's not the same company anymore. The passion that went into BF3, BF4, and BF1 disappeared when most all of the DICE devs walked out before BFV. The franchise now feels like it's more concerned with cutting costs, removing features, and pumping out barely developed games that have the name "Battlefield" on them, but not the soul of "Battlefield". The last two BF games have been half assed attempts to make more money with less effort, and it shows. I fear Battlefield is traveling down the same road as COD. Worse games every year with less and less effort put into creating them.

I would have said Hardline, but that doesn't have many players at all. Other than that, probably BF5 or BF4

I'm really feeling like you, when I start playing today on the new map "breakthrough" and I see all vehicles on both side camping in her bases and farming all infantry players makes me feel really sad. WTF is going on with those creators from Dice , is not normal.. Look at bf4 example, the spawn bases have allways some building's or mountain to prevent that, why they never see that??? I have anything against vehicles, bit this game is really trash. Sorry but is my opinion , I will stay playing a little bit more because we don't have anything better as well. I hope future games goes better.

We need a full BF package with a Multiplayer like BF3, and campaign like BC1 and 2, both those campaigns are really good. I know the people behind the developer studios come and go, but we need people who can replicate the previous employee's work, and expand upon it to make something new and fresh but also familiar. I really hope the next BF learns what not to do from 2042, like Call of Duty, the franchise needs to die in order for it to get better, and with 2042 slowly getting better it is looking more likely for a brighter future, but I still wouldn't get my hopes too high.

I played yesterday for the first time in few weeks and after 2 hours I was fed up. There's no learning curve to weapons so makes them all boring an there just isn't enough in the game still. So many part of the maps just don't get used and the maps need scaling down, there isn't enough tickets on Conquest and breakthrough is just broken defense is horrible on most maps. I don't have a problem with specialists or things like that although Mackay is a joke.

I dont like specialist there are same outfit in US and RU faction. Where is faction outfits diversions?

I’m ~1 million kills into my BF career, and I still love the franchise. Even BF2042 is an excellent game. Battlefield for life.

That "feeling 13 again" and the screenshot... had to pause to laugh. Yup, Battlefield and franchise ages you years in few months, like those old photos of soldiers from WWII. It's been rough with BFV and 2042 double crap whammy. Hard to love the franchise after these. What would make 2042 better? I remember that list of all things that the franchise used to have. There's too much. But the biggest thing, one that would infinitely make this game better... maps. Lots of maps. 14 weeks with these... 11? Holy moo cow you can fix the launch maps as much as you want but it's still way too few. And most of them are just not good.

The Best Game is Battlefield 3

I don't dislike this franchise.. I just wish they copy and paste some features over, to progress the franchise forward as time went on.. but 2042 really took it and roll it backward, completely erasing decades of cool concept, and hard works.. dislike is not the right term, disappointed would be much more accurate. for example, how medic work in bfv, where each character have their own little emergency med pouch, that only recover up to 60%? health. While medics can resupply those med pouch, as well as fully recover your health. also, that fortification was stupid at first, but it grew on me overtime, it would had been a great addition to 2042, probably would had helped improve it poor maps design.

agreed, we spend 1-2 years of a game's life cycle getting a good feature, for it to NOT be in the next game. Very annoying

Battlefield 2042 is good BUT most of the TDM maps are pure rotten and thats kinda puts me off playin it

Bf2042 is the game that made me quit the franchise

I love the franchise but at the same time I fucking hate it. It's a love hate relationship for me. Have close to 20k hours in the franchise and I honestly can't decide on whether I loved the experience or if I regret it. I guess it's both, as some of my favorite times gaming and some of the worst experiences have been in a bf title.

Jordy, I have followed you with the BFV content only for the past year. As I did not get back into gaming until Covid hit. I have some comments that might sound somewhat obvious regarding your love/hate relationship here. Lets speak psychological. For the average gamer - likely the majority of your viewers, we are not standing on top the mountain like you are. We still see the peak. When you are the best, or among the best, like yourself - there is no where to go - all you see is empty sky. That is what I hear you saying. The challenge has been overcome, there is nothing left. You saved the princess and watched the final cut scene - a while ago frankly. So no doubt you are bored. The only way I see you enjoying the games again, is to make it more challenging for yourself - DICE is not going to do that for you. Drop in with a Chauchat and a Liberator. KZread be damned, you already know the views you would get will decline. Stuff like this has a peak. You were there, now you and the franchise are on the downhill. Guys like me though are still trying to climb and enjoy the content. I egotistically will speak for every new viewer you've had for the past year and say...the ZK & Type2A is meta, its old hat, and YOU and a few others are the reason it is. That is not bad. Its more of a pat. You asked for an honest opinion. You painstakingly crafted your words so not to bash DICE or the game - lets face it - you and the game are one at this point. To put it to shame would be like criticizing your own journey to this point. Lastly, you are not the only guy on the summit speaking about how empty the sky is up there. And frankly; its disappointing to hear that for us still on the journey. When the king has everything and wants more, the pesents gladly offer him the finger :) You admitted you were not keen to BF1 - take your viewership back to BF1 - gain new viewers - flush some of the old - recycle the franchise yourself with us - and let the pesents ride in your chariot. Viewers don't want to watch you slaughter entire servers - we want to see you be human and frustrated - like us! :) Good luck, the die hards will be here.

I feel you on this. It's not really to do with difficulty, I think I've just played too much of Battlefield in general. 2042 doesn't have a lot of content, so it gets used up fast. I'm sure IF the next battlefield is good, it will all change. Also, how come you've only followed me with BFV content? Cause I know currently that is where my channel is struggling. People watch me for only BF5, I go back to previous battlefield's and they rarely watch that.

@Jordy1-1 bfv was the game that I picked up due to covid. It was a game resurrected by the pandemic and 2042 or the bf6 rumor mill didn't come fast enough so many latched onto it. Why only bfv...idk...it's just my history buff coming out and relatability to people like our grandparents. The maps are amazing imo. They have at least some historical accuracy even if just the name of the map. It's a feeling. I think if 2042 maps were more relatable the somewhere you could find on Google maps it would have a better feel. 2042 maps are like DOOM meets BF. Run shoot run shoot...the scenery is way to forgettable. I think they missed the mark with not moving into Vietnam, Congo, Korea, and other historical conflict zones. Gun play or characters, the MAPS make the game in every FPS!
