I despise bombers in BF5 but it is cool how they scar the battlefield with craters that can be seen from the spawn screen and that the craters can be used as cover.

That’s what I was thinking, planes are such tyrants in BFV since DICE made AA options a big joke. Flieger = fly high, AA = destroy with bombs. I swear you shoot water balloons. It’s infuriating to have to stop playing to sit in AA and wait wait wait for a plane to come by and fuck your ass anyway.

@@SorryBones especially when you are in a tank and you just hear the sound of the plane going down....and in just 1 second, you are out of the game. Yes, you can take down those motherfuckers with one shoot, but I'm not going to wait all the match to hunt a plane, it's makes the game kind of boring and frustrating.

Imagine being proud of war crimes, which particulary targeted women and children in resedential areas.....

This plane is insanely OP in the right hands , my favorite plane as well. One time I was on panzerstorm breakthrough, my team was getting destroyed the entire round and when the last sector came , I got my hands on this bad boy and destroyed over 20 tanks in one life , we ended up winning and I can safely say it was mainly thanks to me since I stopped most of the enemy tanks

I think it feel better to get that kills with a tank, the feeling of take those tanks in a 1v1 or 1v2, makes you to experience the battle of who of the tanks it's gonna win, and more risky... it gets the battle fun and exciting.... however, get tank kills with a plane it's kind of boring and excessive (most of the time, tanks can't do anything to take down enemy planes)so I don't see any satisfaction on that way to play.

The Avro Lancaster is a beauty, had 6 family members in the RAF during ww2! 2 that where Lancaster bomber pilots and the other 4 where Hawker Hurricane and spitfire pilots, 4 of them Survived the war, 1 Lancaster went missing and 1 died in a hurricane during the Battle of Britain! (4 from my mums side and 2 from my dads side) great video as always ART 👍🏻

the lancaster was a great plane, shame it was used almost entirely to commit war crimes and kill civilians.

Running the 4000lb bomb on Panzerstorm is the best. I had a nice game yesterday with this plane. You delete any tank or person you drop that thing near lol.

That "dusting bug" is easy to explain. The Tankshells dont hit the plane they explode little before hitting the plane just like a flaK shell would. In this case the only thing that will do damage is the splash damage which is quite poor on the 6 pounder. If you do any damage its because the splash just hit the plane while from behind the splash will never hit. Its best to hit the plane from straight down or up or in the face with a perfect angle. *Same applies for the 37mm of Stuka and 75mm of JU 88C and Rockets* The reason for this the bug is the pacific update which introduced the stationary Typ88 Cannons that shoots tankshells but also has the FlaK shell-airburst mechanic. Now litterly every shell has this mechanic but not every shell has the smlash damage of the Typ88 cannons thats why some to damage planes and some do not.

I used to really love the ju88 c with the 75mm cannon on it, you could 3 shot a Valentine with it and 1 shot a spitfire or mosquito. They nerfed it in the last patch and now it takes minimum 4 shots on a tank and does 45 damage on a spitfire IF it doesn't dust on it. Its completely removed any fun from flying the plane. There isn't even a lower gunner seat to defend yourself from.

Ngl the dusting was the final straw that made me quit bfv, that was the first plane id ever hit a 60+ kill streak with, has more plane kills than any of my fighter and was just in general my favorite plane, after that one update ruined gun play and I hopped in to find the dusting I had enough

You are so right, Arras is Still de best map regarding balance between infantery half-tracks, tanks and planes. With a nice balance with open areas and town.

Largest bomb in ww2 was the 22,000lb grand slam (contained 9500lb of torpex explosive); during testing, it created a crater 30ft deep and 124ft wide

Loved the Dutch chat in the first two minutes.

The Molins Cannon, what a buzz that's would be to include some of the Mosquito's low level missions which were incredible.

So I'm not the only one who thinks of this thing as a giant flying bathtub dispenser.

I’ve recently moved from fighter main to using both the Mosquito and spitfire. And I’ve gotta say 2x 50kg bombs are never going to pack a big a punch as that 4000 pound bomb lol. I literally cleared E on arras getting 10+kills in one strafing/ bombing run. Yeah that doesn’t happen all the time but this bomb you really don’t have to aim that hard. It’s like a mini V-1 just drop it in the general vicinity of the enemy

I got a kill against a JU using the 6lber, but it took the bomber trying the vertical air stall. He went vertical, I lined up at maybe a 45 degree angle and fired twice, and he was gone. I think both rounds hit the front half of the plane to get the kill, which you can’t really do in pursuit

Its not just the 6 pounder that dusts but all explosives including AA, rockets, and flieger fausts making all bombers super hard to kill. If they ever ever ever get around to fixing it bombers will get a huge shock when they all of a sudden start to get shot down sometimes.

I think it was mostly a wooden frame but with materials aside, it was one of the fastest planes available. With enough momentum it would have been possible to fly even with a 4000lb load.

The dusting problem isn't sadly just limited to the mosquito but affects all projectiles such as aa cannons,tanks and fliegerfaust. It's almost impossible to hit any plane that is moving away from you which makes ground to air combat even more frustrating than what it used to be.

Other's 4000lbs explosion : I will shred this universe down to last atom. My 4000lbs explosion : Right back at ya buckaroo.

I suck at planes, but I’ve mastered the AA, especially on Iwo Jima where I can actually move the AA and surprise them ‘streaktryingnoobs’ by shooting them from different locations and I only shoot when I know I can do damage and take them down

Little late, but the Tallboy, besides being huge, was the first bomb made with the intent of precision bombing instead of the more commonly used carpet bombing method. The bomb when dropped actually reached Mach 1. What was used to sink the Tirpitz (the Bismarck sister) and of the bombs dropped, one was so fast on impact that instead of detonating inside the ship, it went clean through it, detonating beneath the keel.

Nice video. I think the Swedish Masterminds they have skipped school, as the explosion from the bomb isn't supposed to pull you down. That would be an implosion. But then again, Pacific American planes feel like flying a fridge.

Please do a historical video on the Halifax bomber. It is such an unspoken about aircraft that was the backbone of the RAF’s night bombing operations in the second world war

Man the bomb takes forever to drop lol

Imagine a 4K lbs on the cave opening on Iwo Jima.

The reason the cannon "dusts" enemy planes is because it had the same mechanic as AA projectiles. With the AA you don't need a direct hit the rounds just explode when they are close to the plane. The same thing happens with the cannon, it just explodes when it gets near the enemy plane but it doesn't do splash damge like the AA. So when you happen to do damage is because your shot actually connected. A lot of the time you don't connect the shell just explodes making you think you got a hit but actually missed. It's a weird mechanic and it can be frustrating but nonetheless every shot that actually makes contact will do damage.

FatheredPuma81 the mosqito was made of wood so it should be easily destroyed by AA or fliegerfaust.

I think they could add the tall boy and grand slam, but they could give them a Long cool down like 1-2 minutes or somewhere around that. Also I’d like to see a lot more tank and plane types in the game in the near future, I think they could add a heavy bomber variant with the he111 and Lancaster then the b17 or b24 and the g6m

I keep playing some bug riddled games one is Half life 2 death match, played it since 2005 so almost from release. Met some great friends playing it and I got really good at one point so keep going back despite all its downfalls.

Just use the mg's they are very strong and consistent. The canon is only good to finish a plane off if you dont hit it at the back

I don’t last long in planes, barely a minute as there are some really good fast flying pilots as well as spawn farming bastard bombers too

617 Squadron (the Dambusters) used the Tallboy (6T) and Grand Slam (10T) (both of which were designed by Barnes Wallis) - Tallboys sunk the Tirpitz

They really need to make european dogfights as fast as Pacific ones. Dogfighting in Europe is just plain and boring. Tedious vertical loops

I feel you dude. The Zero has the machine guns mounted in a perfect spot so you melt planes pretty quick. The Corsair is chill but I don't like the wing mounted machine guns unless it's like the Spitfires 4 on each wing.

The grand-slam should be a call-in instead of a JB2 or a Lancaster flies past and drops a grand-slam. The Mosquito FB MkIV fulfills almost every role and makes the other British planes like the VB, Blenhiem MK I & IF, and Mosquito MK II almost obsolete. It is the fastest flying plane, it can be speced to drop the biggest bombload out of any of the British aircraft, it can equip rockets and equip 4 20mm cannon depending on which side of the spec tree you follow. The only thing that counters it is a smart AA player or a dedicated fighter. Its one of the few fun planes and DICE should really try to make the other planes as fun or have some standout component to match the Mosquito.

Imagine a grand slam bomb landing literally on someone and not blowing up

If they do put that 12k bomb in it should be called in like the bomber on bf1943 or bf4

Love the mk VI ... strange bug though : for like 6 months or so its not possible to kill planes with the cannon. It was a 1-2 hitter from time to time now you dont get any damage from it. Refering to reddit its a known bug but they dont fix it...intended maybe

The problem with the mosquito i find is defending yourself you have to have a wingman.

How can I make the 3rd person view further from the plane? Seems like your camera is much further from the tail wing than mine.

That's weird honestly, me and my friends, we always refer to that bomb as to 1 ton bomb, when it almost as twice as heavier. Imperial units system, my ass.

today fighter jets like f18 can carry up to 4 1000-2000 lbs bombs so i think is perfectly possible for the mosquito to carry those of 4000

For example - 213,400lbs(96,796kg) (1,150 110lbs(50kg) and 158 550lbs(250kg) bombs) were dropped on Rotterdam, compare to 4,000lbs(1,814kg), this 213,400lbs was huge destruction in the history of Netherlands. The most powerful bomb were dropped (non-nuclear) is Grand Slam or Tallboy(previous name) 22,000lbs(10,000kg) falling weight 9,500lbs(4,300kg). So it would be disaster if DICE would add 22,000lbs bomb.
