The spotting scope is also a great tool. Look for a high point overlooking the next location and highlight the enemy so your team mates know where to attack

I think DICE failed to implement the Sniper class correctly. A sniper is after all known for patience and a LACK of movement. You are taught not to move too much. Yet in BFV the class is under-powered and pretty much obliged to keep moving all the time or get killed. You are just as visible as other classes which negates the one tactic of a sniper...camouflage. Surely DICE could incorporate the finer details of sniping into the sniper class to make it a more rounded, accurate class?Perhaps incorporate a camo perk which makes it difficult for the enemy to detect or even see your sniper?

agree with this 100% rule number 1 for real world snipers is to limit movement to avoid drawing the eye, same as camouflaged hunting animals, they stay still or risk being spotted by their prey, that you have to move side to side to avoid being killed because it hasnt been implemented properly is just ridiculous. Sniper needs some serious love at the moment, there is a widely reported glitch right now where you get one shot killed, there have been several times where ive hit someone with the Gewehr 95/30 three times and got at least 2 rounds in with the M1911 and ive been shot once and gone down. Its a bit of a gamebreaker as you just end up thinking 'whats the point' and rage quitting when it keeps happening

I find standing out in the open jumping up and down singing its raining men very rewarding.

Some really good tips, improved my game quite a bit.

A few things about my low skill sniping. I turned off mirrored loadouts so i can use faction based weapons as accurately as i can for immersion. This also helps me use different weapons but when it comes to sniping, turns into a bit of a challenge. I use the Lee Enfield for UK, Gewehr 98 for German (soon Kar98), Krag-Jorgensen for US and Arisaka 99 for Japanese. I prefer long range (75m - 250m) and with different stats and some scope once. Best sniping game i had was when i heard my UK soldier on Hamada count 5 consecutive headshots. My longest shot was on Al Sundan from the mountains at point A to the radio tower at point F. After that my sniping luck dropped down diabolically. I struggle with leading shots, determining how fast the bullet travels and bullet drop (sometimes).

Great vid

Any professional sniper user would tell you to never use a scope. That flash from using the scope is too easy to spot and makes you easy pickings for not just the common soldiers who spot you, but also for other snipers. If you wanna be better as a sniper, use iron sights. They can’t detect you with iron sights and when you’re crouched or prone with the Sniper class guns, your shots are very accurate. Iron sights are also real good up close in case you get rushed or flanked, make sure to always shoot off one shot and make it count before switching to your pistol because often times those that get close to you have better weapons built for close quarters, but that one shot you take will get them down to one or two pistol shots. Also, with iron sights you’re more flexible and able to not only move around more, but also get yourself into different situations that will benefit you than with a scope. Maybe if you’re good enough with the iron sights, you’ll go pro and be named after The White Death himself lol. In all seriousness, versatility beats all. Being a versatile soldier able to perform in any situation is key to becoming the best. Next time you’re a Sniper class and a support is on your ass with an HMG, you better hope you’ve got iron sights.

Im decent at using the kar at any range. I wish the fire rate was a tiny bit quicker. I always die so fast when trying to take out a group of people when playing aggressive

At the end of the day, go with your gut. Before I got cycling distance I got a 400 meter headshot on a running target with the Kar 98. Honestly, it's the best sniper rifle in my opinion, it's beautiful, graceful, and deadly. Edit: that 400 meter headshot on the target in full stride was with my last round, and I nailed it with my last round. I went with my gut.

Practice your flanking by being a medic more and running the smoke grenade rifle. I was doing it a lot and you'll learn more about how to use the map to your advantage. Everyone wants to go straight from point A to point B. So figure out where most of your team is. Then you'll know where the enemy is... and find ways to get around behind them. I find using smoke and hugging the walls going straight at them then around is best! Works on almost every map and I'm getting 50-60kills most games

When I play that role I spot as much as I can then I harass other snipers or troops anything to keep them occupied from taking out our troops then movement is always good once i make a kill I move to another location my main goal is to harass the enemy and spot everything I can and if I can get a kill on a sniper camping then I will

Great tips, the only thing I dont agree with is I dont crouch. I primarily run the krag jorgensen with low drag rounds an bipod. My buddy runs the k98, I out do him on distance shots. He thinks my 300 yard head shoots are impressive. Iv head shot dudes on wabey island in the tower by delta from foxtrot in conquest, 403 meters. We find hides behind the enemy an snip the shit out of them. An I'm usually the one counter sniping too
