Actually a lot has improved and this games graphics are "technically" ancient. Its just that some games use very smart graphics design that just doesn't look "old" even many years later. There will never come a day where you look at this game and say, wow that looks bad. More examples : BF3 , Crysis 2.

well it was kind of pointless to add because you have the ACE-23 and the M416 that have pretty much the same stats as the M16A3. Plus the M16 is usually seen as a burst weapon rather than what was overused in BF3's multiplayer.

The Amazing JD yeah. I absolutely hate it when I play with people with bad internet, because the M4 for them seems to be fully automatic or something. I tried it and its super inaccurate if I spam rapidly with it. Idk, but sometimes it's weird. I wanted the M4A1 back too, but whatever DICE.

You can't only blame EA for fucking up this game. DICE is the one who forgot to fix broken stuff from BF3 before implementing them into BF4. They haven't learned much from BF3, like a complete new studio made the game

Dang we really took these games for granted. We will never get games like this ever again. This was was peak.

Arguably one of the best campaign intros. (I have seen)

The Nostalgia is scary. I know this is 5 years old, but it feels like this just came out.

Anyone else still remember the first time they saw this?

May not have been the best campaign I've ever played, but I can say with absolute 100% certainty this is e greatest opening mission of any game ever made. This is one of my favorite missions from any game, the action in this mission is non stop and the ending from when the chopper crashes until the the car crashes in so fucking awesome

Oh the days when Battlefield games had great single player campaigns.

2024, still one of the best intros from a game.

everytime i hear "Eclipse Of the Heart" i just hear PAC in my head saying "Man i don't wanna die to this song"

Me too, I can't play it in summer because even with low settings the charging adapter shut down after being overheated and my battery last less than 40 minutes. My laptop is 2017 model of omen 15 ce000 Gtx1050 4gb 16gb ram

I still play it daily. Until cyberpunk comes out. That and DayZ

two years later, and we have confirmation that at least two of the people on this mission didn't survive the Battlefield timeline.

Coming back to this in 2022 😍 also doing a replay of the campaign today as well

0:30 I had an inherent fear of being in deep underwater situations like this growing up as I had almost drowned in a river like this when I was like 6, and I had the phobia ever since. And I remember the terror that 14 year old me felt when he played this scene for the first time, knowing my only way out was through _that;_ leaving behind my squad leader while facing my biggest fear, against very dire odds of survival. It was either certain death, or an uncertain but equally as terrifying death.
