My dad became a gamer when me and my brother got our PS3 back in the day. He started liking COD cause that's what we played, but when we found BF4 he was hooked. He ended up grinding every attachment and skin on every gun and unlocked all the easter egg unlocks. He's gone now, but every time I see BF4 gameplay, I can't help but remember the days when I'd sit down next to him while he goes on and on about this game and how awesome it is. Thanks for reminding me of the good times Jack :)

God I miss this game. I remember playing it on day 1. My parents met playing Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, so gaming was always a big part of our family. We always had a full squad of friends/family. So many good memories, even through all the bugs and glitches. My mother used to be top of the team every match, even though she wasn't great at killing people. She was always a medic. My dad and I just kinda kept her in our back pocket to revive us because we would die capturing objectives a lot. From launching her in a buggy using C4 without telling her, to making her stand on top of an enemy tank so she could distract it by shooting her pistol at it while we used EOD bots or some dumb other dumb stuff. Such a great time pulling dumb pranks on eachother for 12/16 hours a day. I would do anything to go back to those days. My dad passed away in 2016, and I cant even play the game again. Its videos like these that remind me of him. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, JF.

Meanwhile, in BF2043 there were a lot of gameplay mechanics that were changed fundamentally which faced a general lack of understanding and disapproval by most of the community, since they were seen as a downgrade or a step back from where the series had been. Combine that with the performance issues and the blatant ignorance and insult of the EA higher-ups towards the games fanbase and you end up where we are today.

This was the game I used JackFrags settings and REALLY honestly enjoyed more. 2013 I think was the time when "gaming" PC peripherals was a thing. I got headphones and put myself right into BF4. I was a year late to the party, but loved this game on PC. GG's jackfrags.

One of my favourite games of all time! I remember the day this came out, the terrible months that followed, not being able to load Dawnbreaker, the buggy net code, no sound… But the devs and community persisted, and it has evolved into perhaps the greatest FPS multiplayer game ever made. So many great memories with friends. 🙌

Hey Jack, a week ago was Battlefield 2 Modern Combat's 18th birthday. The game is now back online on ps2/ emulator thanks to a dedicated group that has just revived it. It is to this day the most fun battlefield i have played. I just want more of the community to experience a classic title again that was the start to battlefield on console. I think it would be awesome if you could show this classic game to the battlefield community.

I was 9 years old when this game came out. Probably played it an unhealthy amount. Spent most of my time just playing by myself on the ps3, unaware of the numerous console limitations. I really cherish those simpler and unconditionally fun times looking back now. I would get so angry when the game crashed almost every time from the Shang tower falling. I remember discovering Squad up and binging the hell out of the series. It's been an unforgettable journey, but it does pain me to see the direction the franchise has taken in the more recent years. Thank you for always covering this truly special game.

I love how jack titled this because it was NOT ok when it released and very few people mention that when talking about bf4. They say oh it’s the best battlefield, etc when it started out as the WORST at release. Save files would delete, the hit registration was delayed, it was a mess. Dice turned it around though jus like they have with 2042 and it’s a big reason why I personally had faith in 2042. There’s still no excuse for 2042 being released how it was, but bf4 showed me dice wouldn’t leave it behind

Hey Jack, I think you were instrumental in helping Dice communicate to fans like me that they were indeed working on BF4, and committed to making it the game it became - after a disasterous release. I watched your grayscale CTE gameplay and was encouraged by your vids to hang with the game as it evolved. Your "Dice Please..." trademark commentary encapsulated the frustrations and disappointments BF fans were all feeling at the time. And ultimately your gameplay - along with that of your friends and KZread associates - have helped create a completely new form of spectator-entertainment, and entertained millions like me. So yeah... thanks.

One of my favorite gaming memories come from playing the beta on xbox 360. A buddy and I were playing obliteration. He had the bomb and was holding off guys on a rooftop. I was in a chopper frantically trying to get to him as I heard his screams for help coming over the coms. He literally had to jump off the roof into my chopper as guys were pouring out of the elevator shooting at us. It felt like a scene from mission impossible. 10 yrs later... I still play with that friend.

The thousand hours I have in locker alone speaks for itself. Naval strike was… just the most amazing dlc I’d ever seen, it was exactly what I wanted and it delivered. For those of us on console: This was the start to actually seeing large scale gameplay. 7th gen version was locked to smaller versions of the maps capped out at 12vs12 but the 8th gen systems introduced the ability for us to play at its full potential. Was super exciting back then. I very much remember the rubber banding problem playing on PS4. I thought I was alone or something but then Jack actually made a video talking about it. DICE finally fixed the problem a while later, but Jack's vid was my first time seeing someone talk about a problem that I thought I was alone in having. I thought it was only particular to PS4 version because I remember him jumping on that version when he discussed it since he played the multiple different versions of the game.

Probably should have gone to school instead or worked a different job, one where I could have learned more things in life. Now I am fired after 14 years of working with dogs and I haven't the faintest idea of what I can or should do. Anyways just wanted to say this video made me feel exceptionally old. Things were so different back then, especially considering I could still hear 100%! But for the record I am glad you have been around all this time to create content for us. Keep on trucking Jack, I can't imagine it's easy being a KZread creator...the grind and the luck required at times?
