I never understood why the M5 recoiless has such a high magnification zoom attached to it either… can that please be changed too!! I switched to rpg and will never go back to the m5 as is

I did extensive testing with the SRAW for SORROWs Spreadsheet and I've used it quite a bit by now. It's has the exact same damage profile as the M5 and the max. Range on the SRAW is 300m, which is also less than the TV of Lis. Like the guy in the Video mentioned, the 6x Zoom makes it absolutely unusable on Air assets, especially against a competent pilot. He will just hear and see it comming due to that insane obvious warnings, then easily outmaneuvers it. If they would change the zoom to a 1x-2x max. and remove at least the big ass rocket Icon, it could be a decent launcher. But in it's current state it's absolutely useless, the M5 and TV remain the best launchers.

Yeah this is exactly what I took away from it. Have it as a skill launcher, harder to use than the lissile but invisible outside of a small glowing dot with a trail (like bf4), tone down the zoom, and maybe that's a good enough trade-off.

It seems the best time to get us elite pilots is when we’re zoomed in and strafing infantry with our 25ms. That being said the sraw is so obvious the incoming icon/sraw is easily dodged. It always seems like those who use it are way off target. I don’t think I’ve been killed by an sraw or even hit by one at all and I’m in the jets 90% of the time. Some of us other pilots agree the zoom is what wrecks it. Not that I’m complaining or want to be shot down…but you know…

@@GhostGamingg yes exactly. skilled pilot would still be able to spot it even tho not so obvious, like the TVs in BF3/4. They even have the AT4 from BC2 in portal which works exactly like that. Could have just used that as a blueprint and re-skin it. I would probably use it more often if it worked like that with a very low zoom. But the M5 is already insane and more satisfying imo

​@@NoMisZxyeah I haven't been hit by a SRAW yet in a heli or jet and if anyone has even tried on me it hasn't come close enough for me to notice. Not many players are very good with the dumbfire launchers, usually if an M5 or RPG hits me it was fire by an AI lol. Lizziles on the other hand, they're much more of a threat. I dodge them 99% of the time but get hit by them more than anything else, which I'm fine with. Other than that, if you're a pilot, check every now and then check for AI players on the enemy team. If there are even only 1 or 2 at some point if you fly below 30m near an objective they will probably hit you no matter how fast you are and how evasive you are with little to no warning 🤣

May as well just use lis, you still get access to c5 or the little bot as well as a TV guided launcher.

I'm most impressed with the Banjo-Kazooie music in the background, that brings back some childhood memories.

Liz’s tv guided misleading-missle is not easy to use as you first believe. When it first launched I was killing air targets constantly - then something changed as its like game lagging infinity when firing this thing. You launch a rocket you are targeting head on shot to a helicopter only to miss entirely although it appeared like it was going to be a dead on hit - every %&cking time! Every once in a while I may get lucky as I can not trust what I see with my eyes on the screen any longer when targeting with the crosshair, whether its latency or what - I find it hard to believe as I have very low latency on PS5 and like 32 ping to a server and still miss.. right when it’s about to hit I also notice a small glitch in video or something as though nope you were actually here - not here like you thought throughout 90% of your flight path, until that moment when you think it will strike only to be off by inches.. every #$mn time! Something changed I have no idea what or if others flying the aircraft are just lagging me out or what - it’s very annoying to say the least. Let’s not get into getting your butt kicked around every corner while gunfighting - I also get lagged out almost every time even though I can hear the footsteps and know the target will be there in X milliseconds and pre fire etc.. still I get owned and the death cam shows the guy like he was there smoking a cigarette waiting for you to pop off a shot only to one shot you instantly.

I haven't watched the video yet, but I think it needs to lose the 6x zoom, the fire delay needs to be deleted and it needs to shoot both the cap and the missile at the same time.

Thanks for covering the video Ghost! With the Announcement of support for 2042 being cut, it's looking like the SRAW is just going to remain the worst, so that's quite unfortunate. As for the range of the SRAW, I did have a clip I didn't use of the rocket despawning while I was trying to hit a jet that hit the sky limit about 450 Meters above me. I think there's a good chance it has less range than the Lissile, but cannot be sure without real testing, which I probably won't bother with considering the sunsetting of the games support.

sraw would be fine if the liz rocket didnt exist. due to the liz rocket existing, there is literally no point in using the sraw. the reason its looked down on is because people try to use it like its a liz rocket. in my opinion, the liz gadget SHOULD have been the SRAW.

I don't agree with this argue, for the sraw you need more skill to hit something. Look at Battlefield 4, you can pick a tow missile (kinda like a sraw IMO) or you can pick a TV missile.

😊This weapon was made to counter aerial vehicles. In the description itself, I think it says this, there are players who take a helicopter or an F35, for example, it is unbearable on the map. This gun came to fix that

@11:30 should happen the same for Lis' TV missile. It is guided passively, so why vehicles get a warning? Let's say it is 2042 and they might have an early warning system. That wouldn't be 360, or if it was, it should scan close proximity, not 500m away.

I have it unlocked and have managed a couple heli kills but my god it’s hard, the fact it’s slow, hard to turn on console and also it has an annoying drop before it speeds up means sometimes it’ll hit wall or other object and explode making it pretty pointless. The zoom is just crazy and I have no idea why it’s so high, but also adding the red diamond and sound is just catering to the fly boys to pre empt them moaning in my opinion, it takes skill to use the Sraw so it should also take skill to avoid it.

Ok but like I was hyped about the idea of a new ice map, that was such a unique spot

21:09 He got that bit wrong, the magnification was 2x, not 1x. The SRAW used the "magnified close range" sensitivity value used by the 2x magnifier attachment. Another nitpick is, at 15:57 he said the sraw didn't one shot helicopters in bf4. It did, but it got nerfed later on in the game's life, lowering it's damage, range and maneuverability. Also, the "heart attacks" he mentions that were supposedly not present in BF4 at 14:53 were in fact in BF4 and were a huge and common problem for all of the tow/wire guided missiles and even persisted through to 2042 and its steerable missiles.

i feel like the SRAW has the same playstyle as the tv missile as its not to be used as a one man solo tank but as a finisher since the m5 and rpg can only shoot in a straight line that means if a tank with 5hp go behind cover the launchers are useless and it will just repair and go back farming so thats where the SRAW and tv missile shines. as for the zoom i think they should make it toggle zoom between 1x and 4x so you can switch zooms depending on the target. as for the visual indicator i believe its there because you have those vehicle mains that like to complain that they cant go 50-0

An interesting way to balance this could be since the recoiless M5 is in fact a recoilless rifle and not technically a "rocket" launcher perhaps making the SRAW a longer range launcher, having the M5 deal slightly less damage with distance (up to 300m away) and using the SRAW and its guidance to engage targets at these ranges. For the lissile just make it do less damage against tanks (slightly) Or you could make it hit harder with distance, or something similar

When they first announced the SRAW I thought it would be steerable to a point then lock on to the target. Now after unlocking and using it, I feel the only way to make it relevant would be to vastly increase the damage to tanks to make up for it's other shortcomings. If they keep the ammo count at 2/3 shots then it should be able to destroy tanks with 2 hits.

For context/possible inspiration, in BF2 the SRAW is the only launcher available for the AT class (apart from reskins and the slow RPG with insane drop added in Special Forces). it's a pretty good all rounder. Not extremely nimble but can still snipe long distance targets and take out speedy jeeps. The scope is basically 1x but you can also hipfire it (with no crosshair) for super close targets. Hipfire mode is still guided which can be useful against helicopters but the SRAW doesn't really excel at AA (at least in my hands). I believe 2 SRAW shots will do basically 99% damage to an attack heli and then the burn damage will finish it off. I tend to favour the .50 cal though. You get 6 shots in total. The reload itself is 3 seconds but from the code it seems the reload will only start 1.8 seconds after firing (?). So at close range there will be a delay before you can reload, making the reload time closer to 5 seconds. After a long range shot, you will reload with no delay. Vehicles get a sort of 'lock on' warning but with no direction indicator when you aim directly at them with a SRAW. I think this can be circumvented by hipfiring or keeping your aim slightly off the vehicle until the last moment. It doesn't have the noticable dropping launch thing from 2042 but tbh I quite like that flavour. Someone noted one benefit of the SRAW vs Lissile in 2042 is that it can't be shot down. Trivia: The SRAW's often used to snipe infantry in BF2 because the SMGs for the AT class are pretty inaccurate at range.

Oh my that zoom definitely needs to go, back when we all got our hands on the gustaf that zoom really hampered closer situations, it’s was only after learning it’s quick scope timing where it became more useful. I don’t see why they gave it that much zoom. I was pretty against Liz when she came out because she could fire from complete safety, the fact that you are exposed with this one for far longer is enough to make it worth making stronger. Reducing that initial launch delay, zoom level and maybe raising its damage to 30 or so I’d be mostly fine with it, and that’s coming from someone who plays in vehicles as much as infantry

The changes to make it unique or different than the other launchers would be that. If they are going to have a 5x zoom then they should make the sraw a 1x to 5x variable zoom. Along with the fast reloading, unpopular opinion but they should make the sraw have a airburst option but does less damage but direct hit does more

i play helicopters a lot, the funny part is SRAW sound is WAY LOUDER than LIS missile lol

Since I don't ever play rocket launchers too often, I will probably never touch this weapon ever, even if it did get a buff.

I refuse to use anything else but an RPG to get helicopters down. Once you get the hang on it, theres nothing more satisfying then this! aswell as it is more respectful towards an experienced pilot. Lets be honest.. all these lockons spam etc is just wapons to balance noobs towards experienced players which is absolutely ridiculous.

They changed the way vehicles take damage. You only get 2 C5 now and they stacked on the side of a tank also are not enough to kill it, but if you put it on the rear of the tank, kablooey. Same with the sraw.

The point of the SRAW is _not_ for it to be used as a anti air weapon, neither IRL nor in the battlefield games. DICE nurfed the crap out of the sraw in battlefield 4 to stop people from using it in that way, the fact people did it anyway was a unintended side effect of just how easy it was to whip the rocket around mid air to hit targets. The weapon is meant to be used as a anti vehicle weapons against moving targets, and the higher zoom is to aid in this.

The max range is about the same as Lis with it being able to reach target up to 499m but yea Lis is far easier to land shots with vs this launcher. I personally do like how it performs currently but the obvious things like the sight having too much zoom, the super slow reload, and the bright diamond indicator that everyone can see the second you fire needs to be changed. And needs a range increase to maybe at least 750m Or more for the people like me that like them much farther difficult shots

I use Boris all the time and do pretty good, his remote sentry is helpful; plus if you're running with people who actually drop ammo the 3 rockets is irrelevant

SRAW was my fav, weapon now i dont use it anymore! This zoom blocks me from guiding this Missile into a target! The TV Missile can be lunched behind cover so SRAW is no option!

I just got it last night, I saw a weird thing happen where I fired it and then got shot at by the tank, I then put it away to run and the missile curved drastically to the left 2 seconds after I stopped guiding it. Anyone else see something similar yet?

I'm bf4 I have more kills with the Sraw than anything else in the game. I had a little bird pilot that I would side sit with the Sraw and he would take care of infantry while I took cake of air and ground vehicles. Guys like us are the unfortunate reason this Sraw sux now!

Just unlocked it. Used it in a couple of rounds and switched back to Liz. It can't kill a tank and is horrible to shoot at moving aircraft

The sraw is the perfect anti camper tool i gave up quickly when i saw the dmg numbers on tanks and its shit against Aircraft too so i used it to kill campers on noshahr. I will use it as such because people tend to camp alot on the new map and in generall

Been torturing myself with the SRAW till now, 232 vehicles and +500 kills, it's horrible to shoot at jets, and you only kill unaware pilots and occasionally some gunships with medium to low health ( it does 41 damage to Condor and Super Hind)

This video compared most of the launchers but it didnt include the javelin or the stinger for that matter? Why is that?

I've been using it for maybe 5 days. I have...2 vehicle kills, 10 infantry kills. So obviously a skill issue. It feels awful. As a vehicle pilot, RAM and heli just laugh at it unless they're like tank 12 beginners.

I dodge Liz tv misiles easy bcs they r loud and easy to see., the draw is a silent predator u don’t see it coming

trusting DICE to just straight up port shit from old games is not even a thing anymore, BF4 and BF2 SRAW were literally perfect in what it does, with little to no visual intrusion and no zoom so you can actually snipe helis with it, but then they added visual and audio cue for some godforsaken reason despite it being harder to use than a TV missile for all intent and purposes, a SRAW is supposed to be a guided anti tank weapon but if you're skilled enough you can surprise one shot pilots with it, but with the added zoom, square UI overlay when ADS, gimped ammo count and audible missile cue, the SRAW is legit useless, its almost feel like DICE thought the SRAW was OP back then even though it was already nerfed in BF4 with it having slower travel speed than the SMAW/RPG with the benefit of theoretically having infinite range i honestly have 0 faith in DICE at this point, it takes more effort to come up with this shit, considering that they're banking on BF4 nostalgia but they couldn't help themselves and have to change it for no reason other than they think their iteration is better

SRAW should have 35 damage. And 3x zoom. With a 3 second reload.

Played a bit with the SRAW and I have to say it’s absolutely useless. The zoom is wayyyy to much and Lis does everything just better. Sad. Was really looking forward to a more skilled Lis alternative

The worst part is that the BC2 Portal AT-4 is basically a reskin of the BF4 SRAW and it's perfect. All they had to do was port that over. Instead they made this garbage.

The Portal AT-4 is not good either. And I don't like the Lis missiles as much as the old AT4s or SRAW. Hard to master, but that's what is great. Not a fan of TV Missiles myself. Both new AT-4 and SRAW are nothing like Bad Company 2 or BF4 steerable missiles. And I've killed thousands of Helis & Tanks with both those weapons in the old games. Please fix this garbage DICE.

Yeah for sure I'm gonna pick it up and use it for the fun of it man, but once it's become normal like the rest of the weapons, it'll be bottom of the pile most likely, it just doesn't really have a niche.

The sraw is good for shooting tanks.... Thats it, nothing else

Lis + anti tank mines wins again

A significant % of the time the heli pilot will move to the right (it's a human tendency). Just like amusment parks and stores. Or they will follow path of least resistant. Already moving left, go harder left. I've gotten very good at taking jets/helis out with Lis-sille. The nightbird is a little different. Get them close to you and fire the missle,. they have no time to move. Doesn't matter if head to head. U will get them if your aim is right. Best practice for all helis is when flying away from you. more time to adjust.

Needs more rockets, not just 2 rockets

Worst launcher ever. 1. Flies less than 600m 2. No hipfire 3. Same dmg as M5 but -1 rocket capacity 4. Pilots hear the missile coming and changes their path quickly 5. 4+ x zoom makes you keep losing your missile over and over. 6. Slowest ready time I won't recommend using that. Awful thing, not comfortable to play with

TV guided missiles suck ass on past gen versions of the game due to hit detection being nonexistent. I've flown through more vehicles than I have damaged. And I have also destroyed my missile on the hull of the vehicle without damaging the vehicle. At least the SRAW hits things. So Liz absolutely sucks on past gen because you get nothing special on her besides a launcher that is functionally equivalent to a party trick.

@@gigabot3662 She isn't op, that was never stated. She's just the best engineer specialist. You never see anyone playing as her because 90% of console players don't want to take the time to learn how to use her because "it's too hard". I also have videos dedicated to her desync and they go into detail on what it really is and how to avoid it. Yes she is broken, and yes it's difficult to use her. That does not mean it's impossible nor does it mean it can't be predictable. I am an NA West PS4 Lis main, I have thousands of aircraft destroyed with Lis. I know better than most what her problems are because I've done the testing and learned. You just need to learn how to predict hitboxes if you want to consistently and effectively use Lis.

DICE is just so terrible at balance nowadays. Used to love the 4-6 rifle grenade loadout on my SCAR. But NOOOOO. Now it's only.... 1 grenade? The fuck? I mean, they're still adding tiny crap that should have been in the game from the get go. A freaking modern warfare game with 4 launchers? So weird. I still can barely ever actually destroy a tank with my ammo. I just, really don't like 2042. It's so poorly thought out and balanced by chimps.

All the tow missiles and wire guided missiles in 2042 suck. They are just broken in this game. In BF4 I could literally kill any chopper or jet with SRAW or tow missile.

The Sraw is useless! The damage to ground vehicles is simply to less and you can't really hit air vehicles, because of the terrible zoom! You can't keep a heli in your sight to guide the missle to the target! And I have the sraw already and tested it! THE RPG is the best against tanks and stuff and the Lizille is best against helis and jet!

I MUST PLAY A LOT AS I AM ON LEVEL 65 OF THE BATTLE PASS, AND I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SRAW, SO PUT IN THE HOURS TO UNLOCK IT, YEAH AND IT IS LAME, BUT MAYBE THEY MIGHT BUFF IT SOMEWHAT WHEN MORE PEOPLE UNLOCK IT AND COMPLAIN ABOUT IT. I ALSO THINK ANY RPG SHOULD REFRESH/RELOAD OVER TIME.

Yeah that thing is useless. Way too slow and doesn't do enough damage, knowing you have to stand in the open while aiming it. The Liss rocket or any other rocket is way better.

Get behind cover when you shoot it. I was able to thread it between a pole and a bush to kill a tank.

When I first unlocked it, I thought the SRAW was trash. After a few kills with it, it's becoming my favorite launcher. It's the easiest to aim, and if you find good cover, you can fire it without being too exposed.

The SRAW would be THE way to balance Lis finally. Just remove the TV Rockets and give her the SRAW. Than Boris and Crawford will be played more.

that would have to come with a massive nerf to helicopters and complete removal of the stealth helicopter.

Dice 🎲 is a true nightmare along with their visual recoil. What a clown 🤡 show
