The shootout at 7:10-8:50 reminds me sooo much of trying to take the last crate on the Over and Out map /Gold Rush in BFBC1. Straight CHAOS in such a small space. Awesome.

BF3 weapons are meh. I am unlocking them but have yet to find one I like. Haven't played BF3 in forever but weapons seem to be missing attachments. So basically we are getting preset attachments which is meh. Only weapon I am using is the REX

Really hope they learned their lesson with this game. Been almost a year now and its slowly starting to become what it should have been on or near release. Avg. player count over the last 30 days is around 6,000. Meanwhile BF 5 is around 8,000 with a higher avg. monthly EVERY month. Glad at least some people are finding enjoyment with it though.

It's just dumb you can't equip both a foregrip and a laser, really wish underbarrel and attachment (laser/flashlight) were a different slot.

Turn the + system into a ++ system, they could've added the entire D-pad to select top or side rail attachements and have barrels be separate from muzzles. Or even better, go back to primitive civilizations and invent the wheel. Make the plus menu a wheel and when you press X or A on a slot you can pick your attachements. How did they forget the wheel?! The plus system is dumb, not because of it's purpose but because of it's limitations to only four options. A wheel would remove any limit they have with the plus system.

@@strikefg Except BF was never meant to be a hero shooter. It is a class-based shooter, similar in theory yes but vastly different in execution and gameplay. The series nosedived the moment they went hero shooter with 2042.

I really love the new music effect that plays when you capture an objective

9:20 Small detail that could go a long way, The Heli just dropped several tons of Cluster munition but as they exploded there was no damage to the environment i.e. grass should be burning. on BF4, few seconds after huge explosions. There's still charring, and bits of flame on the ground. These goes a long way to improve gameplay immersion.

That helicopter bomb sounds terrifying I love it

Yes happened to me and I started worrying because I've undervolt both my CPU and GPU. So I reset the undervolt to defaults... But it seems it is related to the patch and has nothing to do with undervolting.

Orbital’s rework is the best one yet. The fight for D is my favourite part on any map, it’s always chaos and just plain fun

Map update soo good. My first game I was in a building a B tornado comes threw strips the trees and knocks some over and also blows out the walls. Leveloution is back on this map for sure.

Honestly that bit reminded me of operation metro in BF4, and all the bottlenecks on that map. Also love the content Jack, keep up the good work!

Thank you for this video because I've gotten back into 2042 thanks to this and it is actually fun now, Although I've only found that I can really have fun with the bot servers since there are none that have enough players to play from my searching, What servers to you happen to play on if you're able to answer?

I'm really hoping that dice reconsiders their position on not giving the older weapons new attachments

5:50 cracked me up. And incase anyone didnt figure out, it was in fact a body sliding down the hill. The other person just happened to be there. Still hilarious though!

Ooh I didn't know about that tunnel entrance to D. I will use it from now on.

I already did like orbital despite its issues playing as infantry sometimes but this has become my favorite map along with stranded and exposure. favorite rework by far. By the way, I hate choppers and tanks but I love that terrifying sound of that heli 😂

I wouldn't hold my breath on the class system. It is half baked at best. Sure it is a step in the right direction but it won't be enough to bring those of us who hate the hero shooter bs back... Heroes are still having their abilities and hero gadgets, you only get one gadget slot to pick from and the weapons are still a free for all....also..it is still a clone war... ....and I don't see ANY of that changing...

If it’s the bf4 style claymore I don’t mind tbh those made you think and check dark corners and corridors for little wires plus could be defused relatively easily if you just don’t rush in everywhere

I actually bought the game after last video. I’ve oddly been really enjoying it. The game is on a good track to become a worth while game to play.

Orbital has is a good map now, i like the overall map changes never before i saw the rocket explode or start and i got 150 h on this game, and now two games in a row

Orbital and the snowy map were the best maps on launch. I think the 2 newest ones are right up there though.

Breakaway? Seriously? Of the two biggest maps i think Hourglass is the better one, more atmosphere and cool parts like the city area and the stadium. My faves of the vanilla maps were Orbital, Manifest and Hourglass. Exposure and Stranded are allright too fortunately.

I think the ACW-R has its reload time messed up. As it looks to be done about half a second to a second even when the reload is visually done.

I was hoping for more commentary on how the game is getting better

@@ikimp1998 if yiu had the game youd see the improvements, orbital was a decent enough map but with zero cover off the objectives and it was far to clean and didnt have a vibe of the world being at war, more guns have been added, specialists are getting a rework into classes, more gadgets being added. Portal servers now stay up for 7 days rather then disappearing when no ones in them. Theres loads of improvements.

8:15 Jack's squad holding the enemy siege off for 5 min straight and then back up comes... in huge numbers. Jack's team takes D1 and enemy is forced to call in air support to hold jack's team momentum. Amazing stuff. This is why i love battlefield. It's a fucking movie in a casual game

At 6:00 Jack is so confused he doesn’t even know what to complain about😂

Hopefully those challenges for the new guns aren't annoying if there is any, haven't played in a week

The performance is definitely day and night, been enjoying the heck out of this game, looking forward to the future

Jack, can you please talk about the attachment difference from portal guns to AOW, I wanna use the m16 and the acr but I simply can’t compete with small mag of 30 and 27 when the AK can have 50 and the M5 can run 40, makes the guns obsolete in certain gunfights and would love to see that change so the portal guns can compete

Just played BF2042 on Renewal and it really does feel much more like a battlefield game! It's still got quite a way to go but they're definitely steering it almost back on track.
