You can be even more efficient by using the LCMG as an Engineer and have both 40mm HE and AP. Been using weapons that have the 40mm AP since launch.

I love that launcher, too. I usually play recon actually , but I run a Blasco with smoke grenades, a t-ugs, and an SVK with the 40mm launcher. I TAKE objectives, and I HOLD objectives. Lol

Engineers are horrendously underrepresented on the scoreboards. Constantly pains me to see how little recognition there is for taking out the Tanks / downing the Choppers & Jets vs. running to do a sneaky back-capture or reviving a team mate. I am not saying those things aren't important -- but taking out a Tank? That's got to be worth the same as standing on a cap point with 10 other people 😅 If I want fun & contribution, I play Engineer (other classes are fun too, that's just me). If I want a high score, I play Support or Dozer for those lovely captures :)

I'd like to know what class pick rates are. I often feel like one of a handful of players trying to do AT/AA and then no one gives us any ammo, so our impact is minimal. Too bad Angel got gutted, it'd be nice to see more of his crates around to resupply. But I guess most prefer to play Mackay and sit on every rooftop and rafter.

The Assault class in this game is so selfish, in previous games they had an additional role like resupply, medic, or anti-tank that made them good assets for teamplay

I depends on the players themselves. I play McKay 80+%, allways carry C5/smoke, and allways go for vehicles when possible - if not in for the flag. Meanwhile my team mates are moving around crouching, if not doing it the stationary Boris style.

the engineer class in this battlefield its absolutely busted, in older titles the guy who was in charge to do main AT damage couldnt be good at infantry but now it can do everything because you can have any gun and even a GL, Lis is insane, you have two rockets of long range that are unavoidable if you are good and you have infinite ammo. Idk understand people that say vehicles are op, they cleary dont know how to play

With Lis' TGM, landmines, the AT grenade and the underbarrels on the LCMG you can solo two heavy tanks before needing to resupply.

@@protonjones54 You shouldn't put landmines on a tank in front of you, i mean if the ones on the tank turrets are "blind" then yes, but generally, if you play landmines i guess you should put them on a road close to an objective you control, or even better if you see a tank coming for your objective in the distance

I only use the LCMG nowadays with any class, or maybe the SCAR and AK to shake things up, for the sole reason of having the AP 40mm launcher. Me and my friends don’t even need an engineer to destroy any vehicle we see, we keep an Irish, Angel and Falck to destroy all projectiles, resupply grenades immediately with Angel’s crate and then heal with Falck. Perfect setup.

Sadly nothing will make me switch off smokes in this game lol. Good call on the AP underbarrel tho thought it did like 10 dmg only, 20 is enough to combo.

I miss trolling patrol boats with SLAMS on BF4 Paracel Storm

6:58 man the amount of times I shoot with stronger loadout TOR (one shot kill) and I get just sparks like that. Once I had small heli like that and I shoot him like 2-3 times get sparky and only 3rd-4th time it worked.

While working on Liz T1 grind, I found the best way to solo tanks, you do have to get close though but its the easiest way to get credit for Liz's grind. Shoot 1 AP under barrel, throw AT then throw a mine right on the tank. That should get them below 20 percent and you just have to finish them off with Liz's rocket

Dude that rpg was for sure a hit 7:17 . That’s happened to me twice in two passes by the chopper, I seriously thought the dude was hacking lol

Imagine chilling in the back of a MAV and just pooping out destruction with this engineer class.

Thats how ive been playing for a while now but i do wish the support class had more defense against armor thats chasing you around a simple anti tank grenade could help out sooo much if you're not carrying a gun with anti tank grenades after all the support class specializes in SMG

It would be so cool if you could use the plus menu to add the bad company 2 optic to the rpg if wanted

i miss the first week or so of the class rework where assault had 6 rounds for AR nade launchers, shit was nasty on the scar with frag, AP, and incin with 6 rounds each.

I had some rpg's hit the target and do no damage like you showed in some clips. Has to be a bug or something

Great video but the new issue is having to worry about the Dozer buff. I run into issues where I don't have incindiary grenades to deal with them. I think they should nerf Dozer where armor piercing rounds will wear down his shield. Other than that, you just need a team where you have support or assualt teammates to help deal with the Dozer players

Semi unrelated, but ive noticed a lot more people in f35s hovering to try and kill helicopters and infantry, very easy kills for any average engineer.

Can you build things in 2042 as an engineer like you could in Battlefield V? Things like trenches, walls, barricades, etc?

if possible i try to lead with the AT grenade, as it's hardest to hit the target when they start evading, and has a bit of delay with pulling the pin as well. any follow-up attacks with launchers would be easier to hit afterwards compared to the grenade

That's a good point actually, I think a big hit like from the RPG has a greater chance of disabling the turret though, which obviously helps you survive for long enough to take it out.

@@GhostGamingg the AT Grenade will also disable, everytime i throw one, i get a good hit it tells me "Part Disabled" so, yeah, if you get close enough, hit him with the AT Nade first, then start hammering him with RPG and Thumpers

I don't think Ive unlocked the rpg but I think I like the m5 more because it has the scope which makes it easier to snipe targets and it has more rockets.

Yeah the M5 is arguably better, but for this close up, high damage tactic the RPG is better.

that hit on the nightbird was 100% a HIT, TOR Rounds, M5, and even Lis rockets will do this. and its HIGHLY fucking aggravating

They should add resupply stations to capture points. Its fun to be an engineer, until youve blown your load, noones runnig ammo, and you are now the least effective soldier on the battlefield. Also Boris's turret needs help, its aboslute garbage in its current state and infuriating to use.

Dozer needs a nerf. His shield can take any projectile in the game. Which means tank shells lol

yeah, missiles hitting aircraft is buggy right now I think. Its happened to me and other youtubers have had the issue as well.

Mines are surprisingly good, but very few use them hence the tanks are over confident😆. Incendiary grenades can cope with the Dozers, they seem very flammable…

Have you tried the bolts new flame cannon/new 2 seat gun as it is over powered

I have been using Liz to charge at tanks under smoke and throw AT mines at them for instant destruction

It's crazy how Liz is capped from using all launchers. But Zain can use any kind of explosives, no restrictions.

When I play Support, I pick an engineer and follow. Most players just run and do not stop to pick up ammo when given. (Little awareness). If it's in my squad I try to use Voip. Playing engineer, I hardly get any ammo at all. I can get revived when I suicide to try to get more ammo. Ha ha, otherwise almost never. So if you play Support, pick a engineer and keep giving ammo...

Underbarrel grenade is OP, also the masterkey is OP = stronger than the regular shotguns.

Man, i shot the traffic light more times than i hit enemy on hourglass map, they are super annoying.

That was a hit on the night bird...fk dice fix the hit registration issues in this game .

Engineer is a lot more reliable now than it used to be, my personal favorite loadout is lis with c5 and the AT grenade. Makes the vehicle players really upset 😂

Always hated how you always run out of ammo… then BEG for Ammo from a support and they completely ignore you. They NEVER brought back the feature from Hardline to just take Ammo from a support = WHY!?!? It exists and it’s been done and now forgotten forever. Primarily play 2042 in bot matches…. Still running out of ammo and bots are too dumb sometimes to drop Ammo.

The rpg does that i noticed. Multiple times i was aiming at the vehicle and nothing. It wasn’t the protection system the rocket just didn’t hit.

How do you removr the blur from Lis launcher when you boost it u can see this guy has clear view

if you're experiencing any kind of blur it could be from motion blur in video settings, try turning that off.

Any weapon that can have an under-barrel GL, but I like the AK-24. Ammo is the AP(armor-piercing) grenades.

This video makes me even more ready for the Hourglass rework lol

yes u got a point but what if the vehicle is lets say 20mm away from u .. try to throw ur anti armor grenade or c4/landmines on them. If the vehicle players are not the dumpest they will kill u before u can kill them.. and not everybody is using an AR with an underbarellgrenadelauncher with AP grenades........... The Engineer should have enough rockets to take down a tank on its own without extra mines/C4/grenades... Just look back at BF3/BF4.

Imagine a friendly using support with ammo box and give it to you in a huge map. No, that's too much fantasy to actually happen

For those who think you should be able to solo tanks. You should not be able to solo tanks on your own. You couldnt do it in BF3 or BF4. Also bc of the specialists you can do it (Sundance and Mackay), what shouldnt be possible to be honest. The tanks are not that great in the game and the specialists and gadgets are doing too much to push the ballance in their favor instead of the tank. The tank is something to be feared and not just run up on. The mentality of the players in BF overall has changed and bc of the mechanics of the game what is bad. Really hope they go back to the roots in the next BF game. (i want to have my LAV back, a real one not the patty clones like wildcat or RAM)

@@Albus_Rex Well whaat i want is ballance and that doesnt really exist in the game. All the ground vehicles are not really taht threatening bc of their lack in mechanics and how they are in the game. Conquest especially and thats what ghost said correctly is about keeping the vehicles at bay. So that means they are more important than the infantry what previous games (BF3 and BF4) represented. Its like chess. Infy are pawns and the other pieces besides king are the vehicles. Also the vehicles in BF4 had good skillgaps and really cool mechanics and not that bs vehicles like transport chopper, railgun tank or an LATV with Flak . To your comment to stomp infantry. Well i still do it but the ways taht the infantry has to counter vehicles is way too much and effective. The vehicles on the other hand are just at all fronts a strict downgrade(also most vehicles that are good vs infy arent even in the game like LAV, attack boat, attack jet). In BF4 when you died in a vehicle then its most of the time of bad positioning or another vehicle player taht is just better. Sometimes you die from infy but that was relatively rare at least for me. Nowadays with a normal tank you dont die vs the enemy tank or a chopper. You die bc some clown uses sundance or mackay with C5 and goes at you 24/7 until you are dead bc they know the tank cant do much to them and it cant defend itself forever. That mentality was not even thought of in BF3 or BF4. Another thing people had to think more how they can get rid of the vehicle taht is good for example. Now you have only buggy mechanics and gadgets like unlimited TV on lizz that connects with my chopper for example even when its like 3-5m away. Overall these things are most of the time bugged thats why they are so good and bad infantry players can counter good players even when they shouldnt be able to. I played the game nearly 1400h, so i know what im talking about. IF someone wants to know something, just ask.

One player really should not be able to solo a tank tbh. Right now I think the issue is that c4 is just too good against tanks and ends up just outcompeting the rockets by a large degree.

Yeah the C5 is absolutely insane in 2042, even after the nerf. Mainly due to it being available for Mackay/Sundance.

you could 2 hit kill tanks in bf3 and bf4 and you could hold 7 rockets and the carbines were just as good as the assault rifles and the as val in bf3 was better than most assault rifles. In bf 2042 you have to use objectively the worst specialists to get anti tank weaponry and you only get less than half the rockets from previous games despite needing to hit twice as many shots.

in my opinion there is to much to counter a tank. if you want to play tank you can do only so by playing in the back. if you go head in you'r dead in 10 sec, c5, mines exetra. to think that 1 guy can destroy a tank that easly, think about 10 engeneers in the field.

Yeah i think all the underbarrel grenades (especially AP) besides the frag should be removed they are gimmicky and hard to counter or even detect.

Removed, no. Do nothing to armored vehicles? Yes. Basic grenades and grenades from launchers have no real AP abilities, there's no reason they should in game either. They're meant solely as anti infantry weapons. And that's what they should be.

Ground vehicles are already extremely underpowered in this game you have to be missing your whole head if you think a infantry needs more ways to destroy/deal damage to vehicles, personally it’s one of the main reasons that is putting me off from playing the game (not sure if it’s just me tho )

Land vehicles in this game only exist for other players to feel good about themselves by destroying them. AT weapons are way too effective and too easy to use. Same thing happened in Planetside 2 and the vehicle game has been dead for years.
