Same. But this is a CPU issue, not a GPU issue.

I've gone through the in-game settings and lowered them once before but recently my game started crashing like every few minutes, so I followed this video and for some reason it was now set to 1440p with all settings set to high and ultra. This game is unreasonably demanding even for the newer graphics cards.

Ok, I tried most of what you mentioned and I didn't get any meaningful uplift in FPS. The only thing I haven't tried yet is the NVIDIA scaling stuff

This is very possible, if you enable perfover.drawfps 1 then you will see that gpu fps is actually high but cpu fps draws the smoothness down, even on very powerful systems. There is a cpu usage problem or something. It's mostly in 128 player modes. I have 9900K at 5.2 GHz and 5900X at 4.7 GHz and both systems have cpu fps (top number in perfoverlay) drop to red and yellow at times, even tho my gpu is at 100-200 fps (RTX 3080)

Thank you so much this definitely boosted my performance. Jumped in a match and immediately popped off with a lite 50.

Im on a GTX 1650 and Ryzen 5 3600 and i was getting 55-60 fps on low graphics, and holy shit i was not expecting the FPS increase like that, now im getting a steady 60-65 FPS and it hasnt dipped below 60 even in when chaos is all around. Thanks man, keep up the good work

Not really a good guide. Literally just tells you to lower everything and lower the resolution... That is the main way for every game to get better fps. You can just use DLSS with the 3080 Ti to get better performance.

That NSi thing absolutely crashed my game Had to go into the settings file and change the reslution after turnong nsi off in nvidia control centre My game kept crashing when changing the resolution back to normal in game But besides that, nice video

These settings made 2042 run a little better, or atleast look a little clearer. But BFV crash ever single time i try to start it up and i have no idea what exactly i need to change back, so i reset everything in the Geforce control panel and now it works again..

Holy crap I never would of thought I’d be running this at 60fps on all out warfare, I went from 30-60fps just like that idc what the games looks like I can finally win a gun fight 🙏

@@weetjewatikwil1 is it still that bad. On the free weekend, I had to change virtually all of my display setting just to get it to be a little less laggy. I wouldn't have minded if it was an old PC but I put a high end one for COD and BF and neither played particular that well (although COD was effected by the ridiculous grenade and fire spam

Man you have no idea how much I thank you, I have a 3060ti but paired with an old cpu a i5-8400, I was getting desperate since at first I was getting 60 fps on conquest but all of the sudden it got to 38 - 55 fps in best scenarios, I had no idea what to do now I play 60+ all the time, the improvement was insane

First of all this video is awsome. However I'm curious about Nis. When I use it it works just as you described but when I lower the resolution is starts looking worse but my fps doesn't rise much if any. Could my frame counter be incorrect? I'm using nvidia GeForce experience to measure.

im not here to bash this guy for trying to help, but this made no difference whatsoever for me. Don't get me wrong, it might help you, but at the end of the day DICE just need to fix the optimisation issues. I feel all we can really do is wait, tweaking all these settings just isn't gona fix unfortunately lads :(

If it's the command prompt in game stuff you can write it into a .cfg file and it will enable everytime without you doing anything.

Good video, one thing tho. With Nvidia settings I would not recommend Maximum performance with power management in the global settings but rather in the program settings. Cause otherwise your gpu will be at max even in the desktop.

Thanks - i only said it because you cant currently open task manager via right clicking on Task Bar in windows 11 (like you can in win 10) :)

setting windows itself to performance mode helped the most for me. I would add that as another option.

This isnt a comment saying this information is bad, but for me for some reason im getting more fps drops and lag spikes since i did a couple of the changes in this guide, if anyone has the same issue could u please reply and say what things u did. ty.

I have a 2080 on my Desktop and i only see the option "Image Sharpening". I double checked to make sure i'm on the latest driver.

Bro ty so much my frames didnt improve a lot, but now they dont crash as low as they did, I can now play at 1440p around 60fps in 3440x1440 with a 8600k and a 1070 :D

Using image scaling seems to hurt my frames by about 20-30 frames

Something I’m sharing on all videos is what I’ve done recently for a performance boost. Reverted back to old nvidia driver from June/July time. Getting solid 70 to 80fps and no stutter. Occasionally dips to late 60s but very rarely. And certain parts of break away it goes into the 90s. I am running a 2700x(SMT off) and a GTX 1080 at 1440P. All settings low besides texture quality and filtering which are both set to high.

DDU with NVSLimmer is the best fix for most problems..my gpu would never go below 60 degrees even at idle.. ran DDU with a fresh driver..idles at 40 now.. crazy how config files can jack shit up

Did all your settings and my game is barely playable now. Reverting everything doesn't seem to get rid of the now present stutter. So now I'm reinstalling and hoping that'll fix it.

I have over 100 hours logged but maybe less than half of that was gameplay how stuck in and out of troubleshooting I have been trying. Anyway I followed the advice especially config files IMO made biggest difference. So then I started doing the same for my arma 3 and etc.. thanks dude. Feels like a new game

Something’s definitely up with your pc. I run at 65 to 85 fps consistently at 1440p mostly low settings. Ryzen 7 3700x, GTX 1070, 16gb 3600mhz cas 14 ram.

I changed all the settings you said except for switching all ingame settings to low, but now certain shadows look grainy and awful. Which settings do I revert to fix this issue?

what setting in nvidia control panel are u using for vsync?

amazing video, crazy that with these settings it is such an improvement. I am heavily cpu bound and most of these settings would just help gpu but they made me go from 40-50 fps to a steady 90 fps thanks a lot bro

Yea I wondered the same like even without DLSS at native 1440p I was cpu bottlenecked so I figured that it would have no impact. However it damn near doubled my fps😊

I found something that has been causing atleast some of the issues in BF2042 . The cashe folder in my bf2042 documents folder will just keep on filling up the more i play the game and never empty's on it's own . I have never seen this before most games don't go for stacking the cashe endlessly until your drive runs out of space . 😂

I went from solid ~60fps to 80-90fps playing at 1440p on a Ryzen 3600 and an RX 5600XT, which really is more of a 1080p card. Great Settings!

Exactly, and it's not bottleneck as my machine is equipped with an i9 9900k and an rtx2060 and I get max 60% usage of my gpu and around 55% on cpu in all out warfare...

the settings with bios helped the most guys try it :) i got stable 90-100 fps on ultra with a ryzen 9 5900 and a rtx 3070 before that i could only play on low with 60-70 fps and remind you to update the bios !!! and change after that the settings

DLSS is CPU intensive on this game. Taking load off CPU is the goal here

alright i need help, my monitor is a 165hz and was running fine before i started applying these settings, now its capped at 60hz and i dont know how to fix it, even when i go to graphics settings. its still capped at 60 and wont allow me to change. any tips?

I can't change any of the nvidia control panel settings without being locked at 60hz, I'm normally at 144hz but it puts me at 60 after using those settings and I can't change back to 144 unless I go back to my default settings

Your guides always helped me. So I hoped this one would help me too, but this game is sooooooo badly optimized, that it did absolutely nothing :( not your fault tho... I did everything but cant get stable *at least* 60fps on rtx 3070... I really want to enjoy this game, but its just not possible...

Legion 5 pro laptop 3070, 5800h- not sure what i was getting before but I'm getting a steady 75-80 now. Obviously with dips, but if I stare at the ground or a wall I can hit 100. On 1600p. Most of these didn't work but I suggest doing repair if you are on origin or verify integrity files if you are on steam. That worked for me and boosted fps significantly.

That NIS symbol is showing up on my second monitor top right corner…how can I remove it?
