I still play it. It’s simple clean combat and it reminds me of skipping school as a kid.

Until you realize grenades and launchers are more consistent than shooting some normally ): all the decent players just shoot grenade launchers all game

@@KKalon or spam airplane. Lol idk I don’t mind it as much compared to 2042 where it’s absolute chaos but the maps aren’t fun. Would love to play BF1 again but it just doesn’t work on Xbox.

this is such a nice nostalgia trip :) the bright colors, simple maps, and simple visual designs make me really happy. The game was freaking great, and I loved how it managed to make a boiled down version of battlefield that wasn't disc reliant and appealed to a broad audience. innovative for console arcade titles

It sucks they never went through with the pc port either. Genuniely believe it could've revived the player base. I used to put more hours into 1943 than a lot of the other big titles around that time, it's one of Battlefield's gold star games and it only had 3 maps.

I remember playing this on acid a while back. Felt like I was in a freaking war lol

Good question, depends on personal style and preference but personally ive had amazing psychedelic experiences with Minecraft, Dark souls, Journey (any game that has mysticism at any point really)

I played air superiority constantly in this game I loved it, hadn't thought about it in quite some time

I wish I had the patience to learn the planes, I always got dumpstered by them because I only know how to play on the ground

The big step they did between 1943 and Battlefield 3 is kinda crazy, a lot of evolution in 2-3 years...

To be fair Battlefield 1943 was a console only game that was like $15 and was sold on the xbox arcade market. Bad company 1 and 2 came out around the same time, there wasn't that much evolution from bad company 2 to battlefield 3.

Still has players but they shut down the servers a few days ago. Played a match last week and had a great time.

I remember I got a PSN code to download 1943 when I bought Bad Company 2 way back when but it didn't work for some reason and I could never get the game I was entitled to so I became bitter and have never played this

@@KKalon yeah I know it's just not fair. The code I had to unlock some weapons from it in Bad Company 2 still worked though so I guess I sort of got to experience it

this video was so satisfying to watch, I miss this era of videogames so much. :/

I don’t know exactly, but it plays almost on a control and style identical to bad company 1 with the obvious downgrade to suit the game to a Xbox live arcade size game

No, I bought a Xbox series x just to play backwards compatible games. And surprisingly this game has had consistent amount of players and lobbies
