I think the biggest thing for me is you can tell Battlefield 1 had PASSION behind it. The developers had to fight to get it made and they gave it their all. It had a cohesive vision and drive behind so many of its design decisions. This passion and vision is sorely lacking in 2042, which makes for a much more disjointed experience.

Yes passion is the right word. BF2042 just don't have that. Dice have theres heart in BF1

The thing I love about BF1 is how you feel like you're in a real battle in almost every game. Don't know how they pulled it off but they did. We need this type of game back again to revitalize Battlefield!!

I've been asking myself the same question and i think i know the answer. The game is simply full of details and design choices that create a certain atmosphere that doesn't feel at all watered down. The voice lines and screams i think do this best, idk another multiplayer shooter which uses voice lines in such a way and to such a degree. Teammates can compliment you on a kill or when you rank up in battle, you will hear cries of pain and desperation from your team as the enemy team charges while shouting war cries and officers blowing their whistles. Its like a single-player campaign except its not. And i cant not mention my favorite thing, ground deformation, BF1 wouldn't be BF1 without instant fox-holes lol

Been saying it for years, build on BF1, this game was/is awesome. To go totally left with V and 2042 without adding to this masterpiece makes 0 sense to me. Thanks Broken, this video is what alot of us have been waiting for. We'll take a Live to if you want :)

EA/DICE would have had more success if they invested in more maps instead of more games. Just think if all the money spent of BF5/2042 when into BF1. I'd pay $100+ for just one map.

I absolutely love everything about this game, it just hits so many high notes with the beautiful visuals, immersive sound design and that legendary 'ding' kill notification

So guys just face it, this is the most dynamic, beautifully designed, playable and successful shooter game of the 21 century. Dice jumped over their heads creating this game. They raised the bar. They (Dice) themselves will not repeat this success. This game is like Nothing else matters by Metallica. I understand that you have to follow the trends, but it's really interesting to watch how you play bf1 rather than 2042.

Played this game the other day after a few years and man is it better than BFV and 2042! It’s sad to see 2042 just not giving us that BF feeling, but it’s awesome to see BF1 doing so well

yea but sometimes i (and others) prefer the a faster,more aggressive pace.Dont get me wrong i L O V E bf1 but it seems to play a lot slower than bf42

I bought my ps4 because of a game that was getting much hype. I bought BF1 in the meantime. This game is the counterstrike of players today. Hands down one of the best games I've ever played

Finally some bf1 again! Best Battlefield Period.

Still playing this to this day. Much better game than BFV and BF2042. The chaos that happens all around and just the overall feel for the game is unmatched. Battlefield 1 at it's peak!

I still play BF1 as well. My only problem is the limited maps and game modes with full servers. I really miss Frontline and B2B servers. B2B Frontlines and operations were amazing.

@@lochlanfitzgerald7719 use the server browser. there should be a filter option if you click on region, then you can pick the region and slots. I usually go for no slots, 1-5, 6-10, and 10+. that combination allows you to see any servers with people in them

Absolutely fell in love with bf1 again been playing it for the last week solid. Actually having fun playing a fps again is so refreshing 😌

I didn't initially love the weapons when BF1 launched, they seemed old and weak after playing BF4 but I came to love the game and looking back now it's unreal how much character and variety the weapons had. The game is a true classic. Good to see you able to run around for more than 5min without getting run over by a hovercraft or bolte too!

I still play this game every day. Nothing can beat the immersion for me. It’s still one of the best shooter experiences you can have.

The screams of the soldiers and sound of distant artillery still give me goosebumps to this day. Such a fine game dice made. It's a shame they didn't keep their standards for 2042.

I've gotten some new Battlefields, Cods, tried Arma and other games. Just don't even slightly come close to the dark gritty atmosphere that somehow allows for so much fun and chaos. Every game is different in BF1. I'm always coming back to this game. Its like going from a Yugo to a Ferrari when you play BF1 again.

Been playing since 2017. All my friends tried to get me to play Fortnite because they were getting bored of BF1 but I never left.

This game isnt being advertised more. Always a vibe when watching TBM. much luv

Loved everything about that 22 and 0 streak... In some cases, you'd be in the 30's but the fact that, that took time to complete, makes it satisfying to watch.

BF1942 obviously my fav BF experience. I played many mods and made my first modded map for BF1942. Took me 3 months. "Battle over the Roer" and was the first to add a mobile spawn point from a B52 bomber... The bomber would fly around automatically and you could spawn from it and parachute around the map. Added smoke to craters etc... Wanted to add more trees and bushes but the tool I used only allowed 512 objects and it was large sized map. Fav mods were Eve Of Destruction (Vietnam) BF Pirates was a good laugh and something a bit different. Played the Massive Forgotten Hope mod to death and was in a clan that played the Forgotten Honour Battles.. (Ah great memories)... but my top 3 out of the modernish BF games would be BF1, BF4, BF5 in that order. BF1 had some fantastic maps that just didn't get the love they deserved. BF4 got better and I hated BF5 right up until they stopped support... just at the point I felt they wee getting somewhere with it. Yeah WWII still my fav era but they really screwed that up...I mean how many armies weapons and vehicles could they have added to that... countless but they dropped it... total idiots. Sadly I'm not too much into the modern warfare stuff and really wasn't surprised at the disgraceful sham of a game that was BF2042. After BF5 I saw how they were heading with that game a mile off. I really don't know why people were surprised at how badly they ripped up the formula on that game... If you look at 5 you could see what they were trying to do and they doubled down on it in BF2042 with specialists and stupid comical quotes and stuff... bare bones pish. Maybe it'll improve just before they stop supporting that one too.

I have just managed to get Series X and installed BF1 immediately. It is the best BF hands down. Gorgeous to look at, and great fun to play. Just need more servers as the game selection is sparse.

OF COURSE IT IS! The only problem is that for some reason ppl ain’t playing, and the ones that are don’t fall for the old tricks anymore!

I started playing it again after nearly 3 years.. still can’t believe I stopped playing in the first place.. it is so much more gritty and ugly (in an awesome way) than any other game.. it is so well made, as well as the maps in the game.. almost everything works so good, i almost can’t find any flaws in-game-wise.. started playing it again, I’m still stoked!
