After doing some further testing, it seems that the Carcano is affected by the same damage multipliers as the Gewehr M.95, so it should kill consistently in 2 bullets at long range, regardless of where the shot lands on the body

Fast-firing close-range scout rifle? Yes please!

People sometimes hate on this gun because it killed JFK.

This gun is great for finishing players who have already taken damage, hence why it works so great for ptfo. But as an actual sniper, it's not the best

Honestly this is my favorite Scout weapon next to the 1895 Trench. I think a lot of people get so used to just going for a body shot and getting rewarded for their bad accuracy with the Sweet Spot mechanic. This feels like a straight upgrade from the M.95 aside from the lack of an instant kill headshot but that's fine because the aggressive scout rifles aren't meant to be used at those ranges anyway.

I got a 1 shot headshot with it.

ranged headshots will do a disappointing 97 damage. Landed 3 in a row once.

One of the best aggressive scout rifles for small maps.

Worth noting that the 6.5 cartridge has very similar ballistics to the 7.62x39 round, which I think we can all agree is a very effective military round

7:29 I like the helmet flying animation, but soldier keeping his hat.

I don’t know why but I’ve had so much fun with this rifle... it’s fun to have an iron sight carbine. Great job Kris

@@fladigman yeah man totally agree, but i always use the patrol variant of this gun,it has the best medium scope better than any other marksman variant scope

The mars automatic and the bodeo are both solid choices. I personally like the faster reload and better ammo capacity on the mars. Which is helpful while capturing objectives. It also has much better damage at range. The bodeo is just more fun to use though.

I prefer the Arisaka to the carcano. Not sure why but it seems to miss randomly sometimes. Could be the lower muzzle velocity though maybe doing that

Having owning one in person I enjoy it in game even more as well lol

you should always be blowing up enemy antitank mines and trip wire bombs.. can help the team alot

JeromeZP TV. "...English speaker." Thats it right there. People used to a certain dialect will always have a weirder way of pronouncing non-native languages. I don't know why people insist on trying to get them to say it the proper way in the native tongue.

Great review dude.... I thing i didn't understand is that the rifle doesn't kill on landing a headshot?? I thought all tge scout rifles killed in one headshot...?

Honestly, I watch these simply because of the great history behind each gun. It's so interesting. Kritical Kris does the best reviews!

The funny thing is, it's easy to get used to the hip fire off this gun. Most player don't expect to get tagged twice real fast (or headshot) up close by a scout with his rifle out

They could have made the bayonet be able to fold out on the fly. Would give it that extra so people would use it a bit more.

I wish the game had the full size carcano rifle because it is really nice looking rifle

so why do people hate this but love the M.95 infantry? both 2 shot at all distances, the straight pull doesn't really effect infantry variants, and the Carcano has a higher RPM...

The carcano is actually a trench variant, as it says so when you unlock it

I found this to be the best weapon for scouts on Maps like Suez and the like.

Am I the only person who finds this thing’s iron sights to be godawful?

Don't listen to these people saying it sucks cuz it really doesn't. This is one of those weapons that has shitty stats but really isn't that bad. If you prefer to be more aggressive while playing scout but don't want to spam hellreigal then this is your gun, I can not stress this enough.

I've tried it on the cte, the weapons definitely feel more deadly, I'll probably make a video on it as soon as the patch hits

TheOne Wookie It's one of the scout rifles that actually requires skill to use. You're always supposed to go for headshots with it and provided that you're always landing them you can take advantage of the 73rpm to kill more enemies more quickly than using the other, easier to use rifles. You've probably just been spoiled by the noobier rifles like the Martini-Henry or SMLE. This rifle is downright OP in the hands of someone who can aim well.

I never use the Martini because of its sights, and the SMLE isn't as preferable for me. I would usually want the Gewehr 98 or the Arisaka. I'm not spoiled

Nice video but EA really offended Italy: they have added our standard issue rifle after one year the game had been released and it s not even the real Carcano Modello 1891, just the Cavarly version...

The gun is OP with the quick fire rate I can do quick flicks easily

Why do you use al the Symthic stats for fire rates? They seem to all get them wrong, as this guns fire rate is 80 as the game says, and the russian trench only 67

The symthic stats are (believe it or not) more accurate, as they are taken from the actual in-game files. Not entirely sure why some of the fire-rates are displayed wrong in the game.

This gun is very good

Carcano isn't bad... But still i don't understand why Dice is giving us useless weapons, such a Russian trench, colibri (for joke so that's fine) experimental which got 9mm bullets...etc. And now carcano. I don't get it im too silly.

I love this gun but the iron sights are awful. And don't even get on me about the radium sights, I can't even see through it. Like a big black block with green glow. If they'd fix the sights id use it 24/7

It ma be a cool gun, but i find sticking with the Gewehr M.95 infentry/Carbine is a better option.

not exactly. The italian army developed 2 carcanos during 1891-1893, the standard long version, and the cavalry one (the carbine with the folded bayonet). during 1938 both variants got upgraded. The long variant was "replaced" by the carcano m38TS, meanwhile the carcano 91 cavalry got simply an upgraded (the main difference are the sights, in 1893 they used the standard old carcano m91 long rifle sights, on the 1938 the sights were simpified and used the ones from the carcano m38TS).

@@American001_offical the bolt design was always the same with all the carcanos variants, inspired by its same era rifles like the mausers, but still different in materials and some mechanical designs. the m38 is the ww2 replacement for the m91 long rifle, is easy to notice by sights type and for the fact that a 6.5 converted variant of the m38 was used to kill JFK (Not a m91 carbine or an older variant).

Actually the Moschetto Modello 1891 Carcano was not designed as a Cavalry Carbine. It was originally intended for troops that needed to move fast.

im in the top 3% of players in the game with this sniper.

I was disappointed with this gun, I love the Gewher 95. Carbine and the Carcano just sucks. Maybe it needs an optical sight idk.

Harry Stotter. Nah mate. It adds to scouts kill potential. I disagree with the 1903 being so far out for that sweet spot though. It takes knowledge to know how far you are from someone and adjust accordingly.

@Steven Welcher That's actually not true, if a bullet is moving at a very high rate of speed it's more likely to punch through with a clean hole, especially through soft tissue. A slower moving, or even worse, tumbling bullet is likely to make a much nastier wound.

I remember when they called it the Septemeber Weapons Balance; here we are at the end of January still lacking it. I'm glad they are making sure its good and ready but damn thats long.

Dice: "We are gonna introduce the carcano mod.91". Also Dice: "Lets use the model of the Carcano 38 from WW2"

Lol I ptfo with all snipers and trust me, this gun is the worst. SMLE is still the best for anything by far.

rubberwoody That faster RPM is nicer for people that usually can land headshots at close range. This is a stupidly high skill cap weapon that is balanced by its ineptitude at long range where the other rifles can beat it provided they're also landing headshots or going for those stupid, 1 shot body shot kills.

Andrei Valdez. The 1 shot body shots aren't stupid. It takes knowledge of how far you are from the enemy. I come from CS and the AWP was always a 1 hit kill. The sweet spot makes it more difficult. I do disagree with the 1903 spot being so far. Just promotes hill humpers.

Shit iron sights, No sweet spot, low damage at range. No idea why anybody would like this gun it gets out performed by everything!!!! If you like this gun then switch to another, infantry or carbine you will do better.
