Two highly regarded heavyweights gave all they got to show that they deserve the victory this night. Their faces were covered in blood, but nobody wanted to give up. Alexander Emelianenko and Kostya Gluhov did everything and more, so their fight fully deserved the status of the main event of the evening.
March 30, 2012 - Alexander Emelianenko took on Konstantin Gluhov at M-1 Challenge 34 event in Moscow. After sensational loss against Magomed Malikov, Alexander won three fights in a row, all by stoppages, and was in a prefect shape.
Kostya Gluhov held the titles of the world kickboxing and muay thai champion in the multiple organizations. He also fought 34 times in MMA in just 6 years and most of the opponents were put to sleep by Gluhov’s punches and kicks. He was very high-level striker who wanted to make waves in his M-1 debut.
I think, you remember that crazy fight between Sergey Kornev and Marcin Zontek took place at the same event. It cost 6 broken teeth and broken nose to the eventual winner, link to this fight is in the description of this fight.
After Kornev - Zontek fight the ring was covered in blood, but the fighters from the main event were able to match it with their own crazy and entertaining battle.

Although both men showed incredible toughness, this was literally a 1-sided beat down. Did you get a good look at the right side of his face/eye/cheek??? That was some serious damage inflicted. You can bet he had to go straight to the hospital.

Fedor is just the best of all time!!! Alexander is just the icing on the cake 🎂!!! His opponent is just a great warrior, I mean who but him could survive that onslaught from an absolute monster?!?!? Great warriors thank you!!!

Alexander always looks bored shitless, even while being pummeled,.unreal.couldnt think of anyone worse to fight.yet he's amazingly respectful
suprised alexander couldn't take better advantage of the drop of Gluhov's left hand every time he threw that looping right, which seemed his go-to punch after closing distance or when countering alexander's jab. a mistake most top tier fighters pay for dearly by getting stone cold knocked out... Absolutely outstanding battle!

Alexander trying to submit his opponent with jiu jitsu instead of just pummeling his face which he could have done easily every time he had top position was classy. That final round was brutal. He could have done a lot more damage. Great fight

Your right. He held back on breaking his nose. The other guy messed up when he tried to kick him the second time. That made him angry. You won’t like me when I’m angry.

it was respect! in the early round he had him in the neck crank and his opponent could still almost sit up completely, he had to use grappling to keep him from escaping during the times his punches would be drawn

Sucks man. Alexander clearly could have been a massive success. In this fight it even seems like he possesses some particular skills that his brother doesn't. Fantastic with his hands and his perrying skills are on display here.

Alexander is a fantastic fighter, but absolutely no one was ever as good as Fedor during his prime. Speaking of skills, we've all witnessed many things that Fedor did that his brother does not. Not taking anything away from Alexander, he's one of the best......but still, he'll never be the caliber of fighter his brother Fedor was.

Alexander emelianenko has got to be the scariest fighter of all time. If i saw him in a bar and wanted to tell him how big of a fan i am there is a 90% chance i would be too scared to. If i actually did i would say hello. Huge fan. That's it. Damn that guy is scary. If he wanted to talk to me still i would forsure talk to him. But holy shit. He's like the goat at being scary.

I saw an interview with him and he said he had never beat Fedor and didn’t think he would ever be good enough to beat him. I think he was intimidated been the younger brother.

@@zackjay71 I looked it up..the first time it was mentioned in relationship to a fight was in 2008 when he was scratched from the card for testing positive for hep...Gabriel Gonzaga was pretty big name around that time..would he of been fighting Alexander emilienko? I stopped watching much of mma about 2009-2010 and Gonzaga looks older here than I remember him looking..maybe they just handed out gamma goblin shots or something..lol

My own personal opinion
OK there’s one thing I’d like to see changed in this fighting. This is a damn boxing ring these guys are performing MMA they should be in a cage. This resetting to the center thing is absolutely BS. Just my opinion.
