I was told in the comments below that YakGear would replace the broken tab. So I contacted them and sure enough they sent me 2 tab replacements free of charge. Exellent Customer Service!

Great review. The green one that slides allows you to slide it out so you can get the tail of the fish flush with the black portion of the mechanism and then add those additional inches by looking at the green section in relation to the black...So the green one will measure the largest fish...At least that's what it appears like to me, right?

What I like about the Hawg Trough is the fish just chill and lay in it. Its concave they seem to like it. What I don't like about is ,it cracks easy and the numbers wear off easy. I would go with a Ketch board but do the fish like to lay in it like the do in the Hawg? Ive had the Hawg for a few years its cracked and glued with supports under it.

I’ve had more fish try to flop off the Hawg Trough than the Ketch Board. In my experience they lay in the Ketch Board extremely good.

How’s it going? Do you still have that green ketch board and would you consider selling it to me?

What kind of rack is that? I have two compass and I’ve been looking for a set up like that.

Bonjour, j'habite en France près des plages du débarquement, je pratique la pêche en kayak en mer et j'anime modestement une chaîne KZread "Thomas Yann". J'ai regardé avec attention votre vidéo et je fais le terrible constat qu'en France il est impossible d'acheter ce type de toise spécifique à la pêche en kayak. Bonne année 2023
