Martha did for its political benefit unlinke Gilani brothers who ditched their master because of religious differences. Its about loyalty, no Hindu mansab decieved Akhbar.

@@shilpapandey5983 Chalukyan and Hoysala kings initially built small shrines or temples in that site.. But Vijayanagara Kings, namely Sri KrishnaDevaraya was responsible in developing it and building a huge complex which is what we see at present.

You feel really bad if you visit Hampi now.. appreciate as you have collected information but some of the things aren't right.. Bahamanis Sultans literally raped the women and killed or forcibly concerted them and the weak were brutally murdered.. every stone in hampi has a sad story to narrate..!! It doesn't mean that they were Muslim haters. They even encouraged muslim community and they were treated with great respect.. guys just google the history of this empire and you will be amazed to hear about them.. and South was not just what you say now.. even today's Maharashtra was a part and they use to speak Kannada before..!!
