It reminds me about the battle of CUHK in November 😢😢 In the start of the battle professor mcgonagall mention that she knows there is no way that the battle can be won, they only fight to give Harry time, it was a desperate fight in the first place

You really have to commend Aberforth for that Expecto Patronum. They say that a lot of adult wizards and witches have trouble pulling it off and that was a mega one, done by one wizard.

Skyrim and Skulduggery Pleasant it wasn’t by one wizard, the books are completely different, but if your only talking about this scene in the MOVIE, then Aberforth conducted the patronus charm with everyone in that scene (Seamus, Priti, Ginny, Shacklebolt etc.) not just Aberforth

Yes, that's very powerful scene. They all had to grow up so fast. It was mere year ago that Hermione and Lavender disliked each other over Ron. Now, they are fighting for their lives. And Lavender is very likely dead.

The book line is really powerful as well (I'm paraphrasing a bit, probably) Harry tried casting a patronus but couldn't. All he saw was death, until the patronuses of all those he taught in DA soar overhead, and with the most effort it had ever taken him to, he summoned his stag patronus.

My biggest tribute for all those Hogwarts students stand for their school. They're just a kids OMG, yet has no fear to fight against the Death Eater. I cannot imagine hows the feeling of Colin Creevey parents knowing their son died in the world they have even never see😭

@@sovietkrab1871 Order of Phoenix, he sents Hagrid on a mission tô recruit the giants because the death eaters were trying to do the same. That's when Hagrid met Grope. In Deathly Hallows the giants partnered with Voldemort (not all of them). There could be trolls there too, but the giants were the ones who made a Alliance with Voldemort, as the centaurs tried to remain neutral, but ended up helping Hogwarts (after Harry's fake death)

Remember watching this for the first time in cinema in 2011 and this scene, when the statues fall to the ground, literally gave me chills. And I also cried a bit. Such a masterpiece

I'll rephrase, the first "monsters" that made each member of the trio feel helpless in their early years at Hogwarts, were coincidentally shown in order, in the courtyard battle.

I love the choice of the three characters casting spells to defend the school. Filius Flitwick, an accomplished professor who had been reduced by Umbridge to nothing more than his height. Horace Slughorn, a famous socialite, and a coward who had failed. Molly Weasley, the homemaker, who's family was scorned. But in that moment, they are the musician, the mogul and the mother, united in defense of the most precious thing we have. Our children's future.

I really enjoy the big spells. Seeing what a collective of casters can do when focusing power to a single goal. Was super glad to see more of it in the fantastic beasts storyline.

Am I the only one getting chills from the music, I love when Aberforth just appears like out of nowhere and he fights of the dementors. CHILLS DUDE!!!

I have always loved the begin part of the scene. The music, the facial expressions, the words transfered, and the gravity of sacrifice is beyond inspiring and very morale boosting. Almost makes you wish you could join them if it weren't for it being a movie. Most beautiful and impressive scene.

So many good people lost their lives on May 2, 1998. They knew they wouldn’t be surviving BUT that didn’t stop them from giving everything they’ve had to stop Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters

I really wish they gave us more background battling, like it's the Battle of Hogwarts. Professor Mcgonagall charging with table, Remus and Tonks battling. Rather than just random people we don't know.

Every time I watch this scene I start crying... think of Dumbledore and Snape's grief and sacrifice

It's been 8 years.. still this BGM gives me goosebumps

I loved how you put all the battle scenes with the music in one short video 😊

A fine example of how a film's score can give an already intense situation that little extra kick.

One thing I love in this series how Hogwarts can always reveal another ability, another layer and another room full of wonders.

A book starting with magical life of an orphan kid, becomes one of the greatest action cinema has ever seen ❣️

i love how they show flitwick feeling a moment of pride for the insane power of his collective school, and then his heartbreak when he remembers why they have to use the spells

This entire sequence of calling the statues and producing the shield in the movie was so great. It felt like it truly was happening, that Hogwarts was to be besieged and that this was Hogwarts last stand in the movies. It’s so chilling.

It looks like hell, they did a great job with this scene.

This scene still gives me chills after all these years

Thank you you Harry , Ron , Hermione and the DA for fighting in the war for the entire wizarding world

The protecting scene is just so powerful it gives me chills all the time

I wish the movie had shown more of smaller battles between the students and Voldemort's forces. The side characters deserved their time to shine.

I loved how the students just stood back and watched the professors and their parents bind the school with that spell. Like sit back and learn kids

I remember being so anxious watching this in the theater. It's still one of my favorite moments in film.

I love when little prof flitwick... Cuffs his sleeves.. And with utter confidence puts the spells to protect Hogwarts. It's like irrespective of his size.. He will put up d fight and do his bit.. Unfraid of even Voldemort

If you read the books the fight is actually very structured, with apparating areas in hogsmead, defensive groups formed with members of the order leading each one and spells designed to weaponise the school eg the statues, stairs and doors.

Until Dumbledore died, they never needed one. Dumbledore protected Hogwarts, notice how Voldemort only attacked Hogwarts once Dumbledore was gone and he had possession of the elder wand? Ofc they obviously tried every year to do it, even if we didn't see it, but with the two most powerful aspects of the wizarding world in one place, Voldemort wouldn't stand a chance.

I just love how the spiders just came out of the forest and said fuck you to everyone and started eating everyone.

I have watched this scene a thousand times and I'm always covered in Goosebumps.

I remember watching this scene in the movies with family. Even my aunts who hasnt seen some of the movies jaws dropped during the war. Cousins were quiet as hell. I could feel the intensity in the theatre, the total silence gave me goosebumps, I knew everyone was on the edge of their seats. The feel and passion of young boys and girls fighting along their parents, freinds, and teachers to protect what they loved. Goose bumps from head to toe!! I wanted to be in that battle.. I wanted to fight for somthing I loved!

Statues is one of my favorite harry potter tracks like damn Alexandre Desplat really hit the mark with that track

Probably the best scene in all the films, the music gives me the emotions. I'm actually thinking of getting the protection spell they use to protect Hogwarts as a tattoo with an owl above the words.

I was 9 when this came out. And one of my greatest regrets is the I didn't get to watch this on the theatre 😭. At that time I didn't know anything about Harry Potter except that it is something huge. And then I discovered it few years late at the age of 12 and I'm so sad I didn't know it any sooner😭😭

Bruh same! I was like a little kid who didn’t understand English at all but I would watch a few scenes here and there randomly so now it ruined the emotional experience if I get to watch it since the beginning. So now it’s basically pointless😢 RIP

Idk how much i already i watch harry potter but this scene still give me the same feelings..the goosebumps...

As epic as the battle was, it was genuinely so incredibly heartbreaking that so many children had to fight for their lives and die over something they should have been protected from. Even if it was mostly by choice for many of them, it did not make it any less tragic. As a kid when you read how few slytherines were willing to fight you looked down on them but as an adult you completely understand where they were coming from and frankly that were completely justified. They were just children for goodness sake. Not wanting to fight in a war at 15-17 did not make you a coward and it was horrible how devastating the situation was that the teachers were desperate enough that they HAD to make that tough decision to allow the final year students to join if they wanted to
