I've read his history. Against all odds and from scratch, he built a great kingdom and the Ichadhari snakes guarding vault at Padmanabha swamy temple along with the majority of recent treasures found in the temple was created by this formidable, invincible and mighty king !

Thanks for airings about our Beloved King. We miss him even today due to his vision and accomplishments. We feel this especially when we see our modern politicians destroying our beautiful land.

Shri Raja Marthanda Varma's katha 🙏🕉🛕🐚🌿🚩 One of the greatest stalwarts and heroes of Bharat 🙏 I stay in the Netherlands and seems even Dutch students seem to learn this (came to know from a source but not entirely sure). It was basically a story of cunning but devious diplomacy by the VoC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie - *Dutch East India Company* ) to divide and rule the Western Coast including the Travancore and Cochin Kingdoms. However due to Shri Veera Marthanda Varma's diplomacy it got thwarted as he brought the entire South Indian forces together. It's a big story but during his exile owing to the treachery of the Lords of Eight Houses (Ettu Veetu Pillaymar - Pillays or Sons of the Eight Houses - basically Pillay is a community which were and are of noble descent and hence landlords and rich people with significant power in the kingdom).... the Maharaja had made ties with the Pandya Padas (Troops of the erstwhile Pandya Kingdom), the British (through trade alliances and favors), few Sultans and Muslim groups whom were held up at Venad among many others prior to returning to the kingdom from where he had to escape in his childhood fleeing from a murder attempt...... This is one of Bharat's those sons whom stood firm till the end, battled through all adversaries and established Dharmik rule over South India, left all his wealth and gave himself and his ego unto Bhagwan Sriman Narayana 🙏🕉thereafter establishing the tradition that *rulers are only temporary protectors and keepers of the wealth and property of God Vishnu and serving the subjects of God Narayana (the people) was the Dharma.* Since then he sat outside in the open sun and made the outside his Rajya Sabha. He never used the Palace as it belonged to Bhagwan Mahavishnu 🙏And all the wealth you see today are his divine contributions which were to be used for the welfare of the Kingdom if at all the citizens faced difficulties. Now this is what you call a King 🙏🕉🛕🐚🌿🚩 He might have been a Narayana Ansha for all we know 🙏

Firstly, Marthand Varna was a Nair king himself and secondly his army constituted of the Nair army

Wasn’t it an inscrutable stroke of irony of fate as well as destiny , that the creators of intricately designed colossal temples based on their command over mathematics and metallurgical expertise, did not or could not invent firearms based on gunpowder 🤔🤔🤔🤔‼️‼️‼️

Just because we had geniuses doesn't mean they can seemingly invent something which wasn't even considered possible a while ago, some of the greatest inventions or discoveries were made as an accident. Gravity which is seemingly obvious to anyone now wasn't even heard of until newton
