Battle of Aventurine Dials 👊 Solas Starlight vs. Zelos Horizons vs. Balticus Stardust

What is up, my watch friends?!? So, check this out… today, we’re taking another look at the Solas Starlight. If you haven’t already seen it, check out my Not-a-Review video here: • Solas Starlight Aventu... . I talk a little bit about the specs, but I mostly share about my experience with this watch and why my first impressions changed after wearing it for a while.
Then, check out this video where I hold this microbrand’s aventurine dial with the Zelos Horizons V1 Timekeepers Limited Edition aventurine and the Balticus Stardust aventurine. All three are beautiful, but one of them definitely stands out to me above the others. How about you? Which one of these three would make it as a keeper in your collection?
If you have a question that I didn't cover in the video, please comment below and I'll try to respond as soon as I can.

I own Balticus Stardust and It is my first (and only for now) watch with aventurine dial. I must say it is gorgeous and this would be my pick from those three, but this Solas is looking amazing. They did a great job on this dial 👌

The good news is that you simply cannot go wrong with any of these 3 watches. You truly can't, because they're all fantastic in their own rights. My comparison of them in this video was somewhat nitpicky, and it was that way because I'm trying to decide how I want to tailor my personal collection. And, I think we're all a bit nitpicky when we evaluate our personal collections. Oh, I just learned that Balticus has a new and old version of the Stardust, and that I have the old version. Do you mind if I ask what version you have? I'm curious to learn about the differences between the two.

@@HorologyinSanity I also have version 1 (old), with date window. Haven't seen the new one in flesh, so I can't tell much about the differences in dials. What I know is that Balticus released new version also with green aventurine dial which looks fantastic on photos.

Great review man, just stumbled on your channel since I’m looking to buy a aventurine dial. Never sell the zelos! Subbed and thanks for leading me to Balticus, might be a good option.

The Egard Dali v2 is a serious contender too. Just received mine and i love it. The unique case complements the aventurine dial perfectly.

As nice as all those are, there's a game changer out there. It's called the 'Starfighter' - do yourself a great big favor & check it out - it's not cheap but the movement alone cost more than those other two watches - you do indeed get what you pay for.

I own one of the Zelos, and I got to review and live with the Solas for a while. Don't know much about the Balticus, but it looks good too. Believe it or not, of the three, my vote goes to the Solas.

Dane, of the 3, the Solas is my favorite. And, as you know as a fellow Zelos addict, it's no arbitrary thing for me to vote something over a Zelos. But, I've put my money where my mouth is and I bought a no-date Solas. I'm still waiting for it to come in, but when it does I plan to sell my other two aventurine watches. The Solas, imho, is really that good.

@@HorologyinSanity If you can, do it as soon as possible 😉 There are 40 pieces of no date variant and 130 with date. Latest version sports high beat Miyota (9 series), the watch is slimmer, lighter, better made (in Poland this time) and sports different indices and hands. Plus, there's gold plated option and green dial one. Bracelets can be fully brushed or with polished center links. Soon there will be a version in damascus steel and probably meteorite dial. I held 1 of 1 prototype in this specification and though it is of prior generation, it looks stunning.

The Solas in amazing but personally I'm not one for all the glitz and glam. I'm in between the Balticus nd Horizons where I prefer more aventurine dial for a dressier look but slightly scaled back with the sparkles. So imo, none here win it for me and that's where the Nova comes into play. The quality nd functionality come to expect form a Zelos with a non obscure starry dial, albeit relatively subtle for any occasion.

That's legit!!! The Nova aventurine looks stunning! I haven't been able to get my hands on one to make a video about it (I personally went for the salmon Nova because I had these other aventurine watches already), but everyone I know that has one adores it.

@@HorologyinSanity Up to the last minute of release I was between the salmon and aventurine. What won me over was how the second hand markers blended in so well with the dial while keeping it's functionality. I'd say you could borrow mine for review but between the Horizons and Nova you have you get the gist of it.
