Battle Mountain 2022-Martina Stirano in Taurus X
Team Policumbent from Italy featured Martina Stirano in the Taurus X. She worked very hard to achieve record speeds and was clearly loved by her entire team.

These teams deserve a huge amount of credit. I am so impressed with the technology they are working. Truly high tech. Plus the team dedication to getting the huge amount of work done. Congratulations to all involved. Recording these events and making them available is a true service. Thanks!
I'm grateful to see structures behind each team!
Even if the wind was a bit too fast, 74 f#cking miles per hour makes you my hero!! It must feel good to be you!!

Good stuff!
thanks much Gary!
Love the idea of the nose cone sliding over the rider like a cassette! Awesome drive train, as well. Still trying to figure out where all the chains go! Thanks Gary.

They have 2 chains actually. One from the big chainring to the 11 speed cassette on the same side of the additional multiplies above the wheel. On the other side there's the second chain, with fixed gear, to the wheel hub. The interesting device that they have patented is the system to move laterally the cassette to keep the chain always in line at each gear change, using a keyed shaft with servomotors. See at 3:08 the cassette with the needed space to move.

@@mg4861 Thank you for that! An interesting idea.
Very cool tech. Looks like they have maybe 15 degrees of steering, max? Not much room for error.
4:32 when she comes to timing line you lay over image a lot of letttttttttttttttters ????? Does it for maskarade spectacular image ? I did found same in others videos.

Hi Nik! If you watch carefully the text always clears before the rider gets to the finish line. This is so the viewer can see the fantastic images at timing station😊
