This bassline just yesssss

Usually these type of games I tend to avoid engaging into battles because I eventually get bored of it. But in Golden Sun I actually tried to engage in as many as possible. Will never get tired of this battle theme!

I come back to this and feel sad. This track can never be in Ultimate now unless Felix comes as an actual fighter.

This together with some of the ones by Mitsuyasu Tomohisa, and the theme from Phantasy Star II... Although there's several later ones I liked a lot too, like the Evolution ones.

Right in the childhood back in the 2000's... :') Guys, wouldn't it be cool if Camelot could remake these two games and make some gorgeous cell-shaded graphics for characters and 3D environments while keeping the same music and gameplay and brought them to Nintendo Switch as one whole game? I dunno, I would insta-preorder!

Just saw the direct and im extremely excited to replay the games again now that we got gba on switch

The synth melody feels a little off at the beginning for some reason, but everything else is really cool.

Fucking legend putting the files up on GDrive, time to now render all of my favourite MIDIs through the Golden Sun soundfont just for shits'n'giggles.

What a wonderful remaster, but it's just not the same without that SHAAA at the start :P

I re-rendered the songs on my computer from the original midi/instrument data and synths that I fine-tuned to sound as close to the originals as possible.

The "issue with the MIDI" was actually a bug with the original tracks after not switching back to the original flute instrument and it's playing the synth instead.

Interesting; I knew there were some bugs with the MIDI data, like that one drum track that doesn't play for the overworld theme in TLA. Very cool to know

How did he make a GBA soundtrack have such great quality? Seems like the fast majority of GBA osts have a really bad sound to them regardless of how good the songs are. Like the synthesizer /sound processor or whatever inGBA is not too well done. Original GB sounds better...

I don't believe I'd have the patience. But it's great to see appreciation for such things has become so huge now. I listened to soundtracks like Chrono Trigger and got music from OCRemix before listening to any music the people around me did. Now, the amount of covers and music inspired my games old and new is overwhelming. I'm starting to feel old! First RPG I played was Breath Of Fire 2. A rental. The game disturbed be a bit. The fact a Nintendo console game had an intro that mentioned "God" is a rare thing, and they didn't make it very comforting. I was young and terrible at it. Anyway, there's something so pleasing about certain synthetic sounds. Some don't seem to get it, though it has been proven that the brain needs repeated listens to develop the paths necessary to appreciate new music. I'm interested in learning how the brains of creative types of different variations function compared to the rest of the world... Your response helped me remember. So that's much appreciated. I plan to cover some songs once I have the means and learn the songs. Riviera: The Promised Land Castlevania II: Belmonts Revenge Final Fantasy Legend tracks... That desert song from Golden Sun is also up there...
