OMG I hadn't actually noticed that the ponytail wasn't already an awkward sideways thing before Xie Lian did San Lang's hair for him. That explains so much. Too heckin' cute.

At first I was so triggered and hoped he would correct it after sleeping but oh well he loves what Xie Lian does for him so :) Also I’m surprised it’s the first time I see a comment about his hair since I payed so much attention to it lmao
I love how much love and devotion Hua Cheng has for Xie Lian. Truly amazing. It‘s hard for me to move on from the novel and I think it will always be my favorite story among MXTX books. I love MDZS but TGCF will always be my favorite

There are so many textures to their relationship...the child looking up to his savior, the subordinate looking up to his royal general, the ghost believer looking up to his disgraced and fallen god, and then this comradeship of fellow travelers on a wagon 800 years later that truly just became something more and more joyous and tragic after that. I just love this story and pairing and this song is so moving for all that.
I hope transferring spirited energy is not censored in the next season😌

I don't think it will be in the next season, they barely covered half of the first volume and the second is all about the past, so it could take a while.

@@emmanuella8025 its from the novel *"SVSSS or Scum Villian Self-Saving System"* written by the same author ("MXTX") of MDZS(WangXian) and TGCF(HuaLian) .. That is also a BL story which the main characters are Luo Binghe and Shen Qing Qui = "BingQui" its also a very good story and there's an anime version of it too from WeTV titled: "Scumbag System" its also good but only ended up until episode 10. Season 2 didn't come out yet. Idk when but hoping soon as well as for heaven officials blessing. 🙏

SPOILER WARNING for those who haven’t read the novel. . . . . Hua Cheng says this to Xie Lian at the end, before he turns into a thousand silver butterflies. :’( [“Hua Cheng had already vanished from this world twice because of him! However, Hua Cheng only replied, “To die in battle for you is my greatest honour.” “...” Those words were like a fatal blow. The tears in Xie Lian’s eyes could no longer be restrained, and they came pouring out. Like he was hanging on to the last thread of his life, he pleaded, “You said you would never leave me.” However, Hua Cheng replied, “There is no banquet in this world that doesn’t come to an end.” Xie Lian bowed his head and buried it deep into his chest, his heart and throat in constricted agony, unable to speak. Yet soon after, he heard Hua Cheng say above him, “But, I will never leave you.” Hearing this, Xie Lian’s head shot up. Hua Cheng said to him, “I will come back. Your Highness, believe me.”]
