Dump pouches are always necessary
Thanks for including our dump pouch in the review. Happy to hear you are enjoying it!
I think it’s a good little belt whether it’s just used by itself or with a plate carrier it’s a nice simple little belt to have fun with or to get some good training in. Overall I think the belt is pretty neat
Love the vids man keep them coming!
Nice belt setup! Mine is very similar. I went with a Blue Alpha Gear base belt and lately have been using a slim belt pad from HSGI instead of the inner belt. I've also got a T-REX dump pouch which is cool in that it has its own strap to keep it from bouncing around but takes up more space on the belt. I've been looking at the flatline fiber co pouch to reduce the amount of space needed.
I get 15 round mags too. I wish hexmag or magpul made mags just the size they need to be rather than modified 20 or 30 round mags. I tried the e-lander 15 round steel mags. They're heavy and not as reliable for me as the plastic mags. Keep up the good work. Another Coloradan
Incredible your video, you explain really very well, it's super interesting and I learn a lot of things thanks to your videos, because I'm a fan of special forces and medics, keep it up! (Hey from France ;))
Good video! Informative and to the point.
Skunkgear from Skunk defence BV makes all the belts for the special forces in the Netherlands. Maybe a nice option to consider. It is custom made on size.
appreciate and respect your stance and comments re Colorado laws. Hope you take advantage of some of the gunshops that still sell regular cap magazines in your free time. I can still get them in Doug Co. Curious where you shoot at for your b roll. Thanks for the video
Great video man!
Nice set up
Awsome vid I whould probably build it the same way after watching this
You could put a tourniquet pouch on top and molly it into your med kit top flap
I run the same layout, different gear. I added a boo boo pouch just in case of burns.
I like how it's the Disney edition, all black 😅
Any recommendations for glove pouches/if they should be a thing at all? I’m a volunteer first-aid attendant (applying for my Primary Care Paramedic), and during events I usually get called to a lot of minor cases. My current solution is cramming a bunch of gloves in my cargo pocket, but I’m looking for a more elegant solution that doesn’t involve me spilling a bunch of gloves onto the ground.
Check out the Tardigrade tactical dumppouch. Doesnt take up more real estate on the belt, but doesn’t sit so low and smacking you in the leg :)
Check out the Guardian Warrior Solutions bang hanger as a lighter weight solution to the UBL for mounting your holster.
Have you done a review on the Lifevac suction choking removal device and other related devices?

Hi Sam! Any pulse Ox recommendation? Currently considering Nonin 9590 but it’s so pricey…
Nice video my man. But where are your Trauma Shears? Greetings from Germany 🔥
What would you recommend as a travel kit for international travel to Europe?
Do you have experience with the Beez combat systems ifak (B), and if so how would you compare it with the coyote?
Hey sam, love the vids, as far as emergency med goes, what is the next step after my first aid cpr and aed certs? Thanks!

I personally are Australian, so it might not apply to you, but after I did my basic first aid I went straight to the trauma/stop the bleed training, and i keep up my skills by training.
You are a cool guy, bet you were a good LEO. Everyone in LE should be required to spend some time in EMS, in my opinion.
I like it
How do you get on as a swat medic or tac medic?
love it, could you please tell me the brand of the dump pouche?

Why no trauma shears in the IFAK? just learning here. Thanks.
I always subscribed to the idea that the IFAK on my belt or chestrig/ pc is for folks to work on me and the TQ is for me to work on me. As a medic, why not run a larger CRO fanny pack with dual TQs that you can run additional to your gun belt that has a more compact belt IFAK that a non medic would use to stop the bleed on you Just my worthless 2 pennies.
❤❤❤
5:04 I've never had a problem with hexmags, but magpuls are better. I just think it sucks you can't have larger capacity mags in Colorado. What a bummer.
What velcro straps do you use to secure the mag pouches?
@bobdole234bd
6 ай бұрын
Looks like velcro one wrap. You get it in rolls in various widths. 3/4" or 1" works well for mounting pouches onto molle.
That's a pretty good setup though I would use that to patrol my property
Nobody seems to carry the things I deem important. Tegaderm, Benadryl, Super Glue and a suture kit. Any thoughts on those? I learned to suture on KZread for surgery on our chickens. Thanks, great video!
@PrepMedic

So a lot of people have a skewed perception of what sutures are for. They are not a bleeding control intervention, they are to close up a wound to reduce scarring and infection. They are rarely done by prehospital providers anywhere in the US simply because they are not life saving. Super glue also isn’t life saving and can actually be detrimental. Benadryl might stop itching but that’s it, it has never and will never save a life in the case of severe allergic reaction. And finally a tegaderm is just a flimsy bandage you could potentially put over a suture site or an IV to prevent infection but ultimately it isn’t a life saver

For bigger kit - Adrenaline/epinephrine, Naloxone (narcan), surgical glue, steri-strips, nasal airway and large container of sterile saline + sutures and locking clamps ...besides a giant a b c d rated fire extinguisher for car. It's expensive, but with hybrid/ electric car fires, necessary. Sutures are viable option to tie off a bleeding ( visible vessel), but I guess someone without medical education shouldn't even try attempting either this or even surgical airway. Probably even soft silicone nasal airway in hands of panicked civilian could end up badly. Sterile saline is great for rinsing eyes in case of injury.
8:13 if it was me I'd hit that velcro on the loop side with a Lil 🔥 to dumb down that grip a bit
Noice 👌
OOOOOO I've been waiting for this one! HEE HEE! ..... Dude....... Lovvvvee the cho mo stash! xoxo lmao! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😁😁😁😁
You have room just behind your pistol grip to MOLLE in at least one thermal baric distractor pouch.
PrepMedic I am very interested in becoming a Combat Medic / SWAT Paramedic and am trying to get north american rescue to make a swat kit, if you could reach back to me with the capabilities and components you would want in a kit, I would greatly appreciate it.
Who do you guys plan on fighting with all this gear? Russia?

Steel targets and the occasional shot timer.
The term "battle belt" always hits me weird but idk what the alternative would be lol
5:20 i’m not gonna say that I don’t comply, but I’ll imply it
I was extremely disappointed in the bison belt. It’s very flimsy compared to something like a blue alpha or ronin. The molle is made of a much weaker nylon fabric rather than webbing and the inner belt is absolute trash. It’s literally just a strip of loop with a fabric backing. To me it’s worth half what it costs. This is coming from someone who has an fcpc and loves it.

ah the old "15 round mag" it would be a shame if you took the bottom off and cut the piece that blocks it to make it only take 15.... I hate mags that do this but most are made to be cut or bent off.. 2 of my mags are this way because 30 round is legal in my state but the city i live in wont let companies like acadamy sell them
Mustache required for any Battle belt
I'd get a different belt
There is not nearly enough stuff on that belt, look at all that unused space. You don’t even carry nun chucks or a gas mask

no knife? Rifle Mags on your belt seems unnecessary as those would go onto a vest instead

Having a few on your belt line is nice in case you have to reload while in the prone, your not laying on the mags your trying get to.
@PrepMedic
10 ай бұрын
1. I don’t always wear a vest at the range and I like to be able to practice reloads 2. Reloading from your belt is much easier and faster then plate carrier 3. Just because you have the pouch doesn’t mean you NEED to fill it 4. It gives more capacity for a full “combat loadout” of mags
