LYRICS:
I SEE THE DARKNESS IN YOUR EYES
I FEEL THE SPARK OF LIFE GO WEAKER IN YOUR RESTLESS SOUL
I CAN HEAR YOUR FADING CRIES
A RELENTLESS WAIL NOW GOING ON AND ON
WHEN THE TEARS ARE IN YOUR EYES
YOU SING A DRUNKEN LULLABY
AND THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD
COMES CRASHING ON YOUR SPINE
NOW REMEMBER WHAT’S INSIDE
THE WARMTH THAT MADE YOU SMILE
AND RISE UP HIGH
TOWARDS THE GOLDEN SKY
YOUR EDEN
BLOOD IS GUSHING FROM YOUR PALMS
YOUR FEEBLE HEART IS BREAKING, YOUR SOUL REDUCED TO ASH
PICTURES RACING THROUGH YOUR MIND
DEAREST MEMORIES FROM NOT SO LONG AGO
WHEN THE TEARS ARE IN YOUR EYES
YOU SING A DRUNKEN LULLABY
AND THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD
COMES CRASHING ON YOUR SPINE
NOW REMEMBER WHAT’S INSIDE
THE WARMTH THAT MADE YOU SMILE
AND RISE UP HIGH
TOWARDS THE GOLDEN SKY
YOUR EDEN
WHEN THE TEARS ARE IN YOUR EYES
YOU SING A DRUNKEN LULLABY
AND THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD
COMES CRASHING ON YOUR SPINE
NOW REMEMBER WHAT’S INSIDE
THE WARMTH THAT MADE YOU SMILE
AND RISE UP HIGH
TOWARDS THE GOLDEN SKY
YOUR EDEN

One of the main founders of Battle Beast (Anton Kabanen) was supposedly forced out of the band. Anton was in charge of majority of the aspects and it didn't sit well with other members. Henceforth, Beast in Black was formed and Battle Beast went on their own way. I can see why they like to bash on Battle Beast a bit, but doesn't mean their music is not good. I liked Bringer of Pain, thought it was a fresh album instead of the same thing... maybe not this album, but wouldn't be surprised down the line for future albums if they get back into some heavier aspects again. I think people want to see their name changed to something else, as they don't have that "battle" or "beast" title anymore. Albums don't have to be all insane, emotion and lyrics play a big role.... Who knows how well Noora's or even Yannis' (Beast in Black) voice will hold up long-term... they both put forth insane vocal capabilities... not unheard of to have vocal injuries.

I don't like the split. I think both sides have gone downhill since then. BiB is not as strong as old BB and new BB is a lot weaker than both old BB and BiB. So no IMO it was absolutely not a good thing.

Do they have a special factory in Finland somewhere that crafts these singers specifically for the rock market? Unbelievably beautiful women with voices that could double as sonic weapons in case of alien invasion. There's far too many of them for it to be a coincidence or just good genetics. I think they're building them to order. It's the only explanation that makes sense.

Its funny because I heard them as the opening act to a Kamelot featuring Delain concert in April last year. I'm not sure what happened, but live, they sounded muddy to me and I couldn't figure out if it was the venue (I have my doubts, though, because both Kamelot and Delain were amazing) or if they just didn't play well that night for some reason because they have good music! My brother was sold on them pretty quickly. I needed more convincing, but I've since been sold, too. Hopefully one day I can hear them live again.

I always get a bit sad listening to this song because it reminds me of how much pressure i have to catch up on my study and with helping people and how so many people expect things of me that i know(or feel like) i can't make a reality. Like when they're singing about "And the weight of the world comes crashing on your spine" i really feel like this song is exactly describing what i'm going through. I know nobody will probably read this but i just wanted to rant in a place where i know friends and family won't find it.

I really enjoyed this song. Yes, it does lack the "grit" portion of what Battle Beast is known for. However, I think this is exceptional due to the fact that it is showing us that Nora can pull off any vocal style. The song is super catchy and while it maybe pretty bare bones basic, the instrumentation is orchestrated well!

Problem for me is this feels like it should have been a side project by the band, rather than falling into the BB catalog. Nothing wrong with change and experimenting but this really has nothing of what makes BB BB, it's crossed that line. It's not a bad song in itself but it doesn't feel right being thrown into the BB catalogue.

The trouble is, any female singer can sing like this. But very few can sing the way Noora usually does. It doesn't make sense that the band isn't exploiting her vocal advantage. The song's good it just doesn't sound like Battle Beast.

I'm 23 now and have seen quite a few great shows during the last 17 years, some of the best were from AC/DC, Rammstein, Nightwish and especially In Extremo. Yesterday I saw these guys in Pratteln Switzerland and during the two hours they played, all of the previous were dethroned. I loved seeing how much fun the band was having, it was a truly epic evening. I'm going to buy my ticket the second they announce another concert in Switzerland!

I see people complaining about how its not heavy enough. I think its perfect. See I found these guys through Spotify because it was a band "Similar to Nightwish". Nightwish as most know is Symphonic metal. Yeah its metal but takes the edge off a bit. Its not so rough especially with the female lead. And I really enjoy more of the metal but more simple and not so heavy metal. This song is perfect for that. Im also into the wackier sounds of symphonic metal so King for a Day is also one of my favorites. But I hope they do more songs like this for people like me who arent so much into the blazing heavy metal and just screaming into the mic. Noora has a beautiful voice for music like this. I think they should have a healthy mix between music like this and the heavy stuff that most of the Battle Beast fans dig. Just my opinion. Are some of you guys like me and kind of like this stuff more than the heavy stuff?

A couple of observations I have made following the endless good vs bad argumentation about the NMHE album by BB: Many of those who are crying after Kabanen are still applauding the Bringer of Pain (2017) - forgetting that Kabanen got the boot as early as 2015. I like a LOT the From Hell with Love by BiB. Kabanen is an excellent composer with a strong vision how the music should sound. BiB is definitely the king of VERY narrow market niche of 80s vibe power/heroic/speed heavy metal, BUT - Is there any versatility and ability to reinvent something new? Battle Beast has proven they have that ability. It is a matter of opinion whether or not their evolved style is rock enough. After seeing them live in Turku, Finland (March 23rd 2019), I have to say that they rock like a hell. Particularly, the much-maligned “No more Hollywood endings” was extremely thundering - my whole body was resonating in time with the music! Even endless summer sounded good, believe or not! Noora’s powerful sound boosts every song to the next higher level. And yes, 15 out of 18 songs on the setlist were from post-Kabanen era. So, go and see then live, you will not be disappointed!
