I would suggest getting a battery and alternator tester like the top don one I have in my video , it works great on pin pointing if your battery or alternator is going bad.

What if the battery is replaced on a mercedes Benz 20 and the batter warning light is still on do you need to reprogram it? If yes can Autel 908 bt do it.

What about if I put a new battery and new alternator and my battery light is still on but dem not as bright

I have a 2012 Buick Verano. My battery light came on and the alternator was bad before it went bad voltage was 14.6. Now, went got a new one and put that on. Damn battery light still on. So, i checked the belt that was ok, battery terminals were clean but I cleaned it anyways. I changed the battery current sensor and put a new negative battery cable. Why is the battery light still on? Everything works fine and had the battery and alternator tested both passed with new alternator voltage at 13.6,13.7. Been pain an a** trying figure out why battery light still on.

Hi, when I starts the engine, the battery light shows up on the dashboard and after a few seconds, it goes off. It never happened before. Is it normal or I have to go to mechanics? on another note, I hear squealing noise while I drive. I don’t know where the noise is coming from? The car I drive is Lincoln Continental 1997. Your tensioner is bad or you need to replace your drive belt.

Mine just turned on but I got a new battery just 3 months ago! In my region we have snow and low temperatures.. Could this be causing the issue? I’ll check the engine connects in the morning! But otherwise… Would the alternator make a slight burning smell, upon starting, if it’s going out? I only smelled it for a short time but I wasn’t sure if it was my car. But my alternator was replaced 2-years ago and I’ve only drove about 22k miles since! So I’d be surprised if it were those! 🤔

2013 Chevy Impala LTZ, just had "Service Battery Charging System alert with battery light, alternator and battery both less than 4 months old. Found out alternator was overcharging battery, both replaced. Next morning while driving both alerts popped up again, Praying it's a faulty alternator or battery and I don't have to spend money as they are both under warranty. What a headache!

What was wrong with your car

With mine it was when my alternator quit charging, whether it was the diodes that died or the voltage regulator or something else, The alternator had been doing fine putting out enough voltage but sporadically, and then I stopped and got out of the truck to get the mail and got back in and when I accelerated the battery light came on and went off a couple times and from then on, the voltage meter in the dash only showed the battery charge level because the alternator was no longer putting out any charge.

drove my bro to airport 60 mile away, on way back, red battery sign came up, then my car lost all power. i was able to streer car to the shoulder on highway. got uber to go to closest walmart and ubered back and replaced battery. drove car all way home with red light still on. pretty sure its alternator. its weekend now. will car drop off at garage on monday. i had enough stress for today lol

Had the same problem with battery light being on...but I remembered that last night I disconnected the connector to the alternator n cleaned it but forgot to reconnect ...So when I got up n start car the light was on ..I drove off then I noticed the windows were slow to go up n down...but before I drove off I looked it up on u tube n came to this vid...I then remember that I might have forgotten to reconnect it ..drove drop off my princess to school...pop hood and for sure it wasn't connected... Then I reconnect and vola! Light went off after I restart all is well...Thx you Jesus . Even had a nice person to stop and ask if I needed a jump ..told him I think I know what problem is ..told him to look on dash then I connect the wire back to alternator then we gave each other hi 5... Nothing like problem solved...So I said this all to tell you all check your connectors to whatever, check fuses, check grounds grounds grounds , then take it from there be bless ..Don't make dealers n mechanics take you for a ride no pun intended...Be bless!!

hmmm i recently changed my car batteries usually when you put the key into run position battery light will turn on and as soon as you start the engine it will goes off... what i have noticed after replacing my battery recently is that when i put my key into run position the battery icon will not appear, is this normal?

brother i have ford fiesta mk6 1.4 tdci my problem is that whenever i start the car battery warning light comes on the dash but if i fully press the throttle all the way to 5k rpm it starts charging and light goes offf , plz help me to solve this issue . this problem started when i removed the battery need help

Is it alarming if my battery light stays on if I don't turn on the ignition?

My stopped 3 times today after showing a battery sign, what I found was both battery terminals were loose, I tighten both the terminals after it turned off second time, I drove it just 3 kilometres… Later it turned off again, why did this happen?

Dead battery

first the battery light will blink on and off..then soon after the battery light will just stays on...that means bad...i got a new battery i had a warranty so i only paid 25 bucks for the new battery but then the battery light still stayed on...went to an auto part store to get my alternator tested and it was bad..bought a new alternator at that part store..and had some one installed it of course i had to pay for the labor lols..total cost like 345 bucks.. not too bad.. battery light came on 9-10-2023 on my car had new alternator installed the next day 9-11-2023. a battery light means bad so get ur cars checked out guys and gals once that alternator dies the battery justs gets eat up real fast..then ur car will not start any more...it dies.. lols..
