    I saw that wheel barrow too. The price has really shot up during this virus! I'm looking into the Overland electric wheel barrow. It does cost alot more but is definitely commercial also maybe the DK electric looks sweet but not enough video and information out on it. With this one that you have in your video with it starting off slow to upper speed seems good for control. Only thing holding me back right now with the DK is it looks like it wants to peel out from what I can see in their video unless it was user error? Great video man!

    Me and my helper just used this and the makita electric wheelbarrow side by side on a 20 yard mulch job. The battery on my super handy is the type mounted under the barrow (atg). The super handy was definitely faster than the makita and did not feel like it slowed down the job when we used it. The makita did feel noticeably slower compared to it. On a full battery the super handy was able to move about 8-10 full loads a fairly long distance (with speed) from the street to the rear corner of a half acre property. I was satisfied with it and charged it for 2 hours while the makita didn’t run out of battery all day. By the end of the day we had installed 18 yards and did not care too much about the speed difference in the makita as it had still moved a lot of mulch at an average walking speed vs the super handys brisk speed. The makita definitely gets to top speed faster than the super handy so I was definitely pleased with that. If your going to get a super handy wheelbarrow definitely get a few. These definitely keep men fresh for longer.

    I am currently recovering from a torn calf muscle due to pushing my heavy wheelbarrow up a small incline close to the same as your pickup ramp, heard a Pop noise and down I went. You would not believe how painful this is and set me back weeks on my project and could quite possibly ruin a good chunk of my summer. Yes, for 600 bucks this has got to be well worth it. I would not even considered something like this but after what I have just experienced it will be well worth my money. Just trying to figure out what one to get. Snapper and some others out there to consider as well but so far this one looks like the one to get. Thanks for the video.

  • @SeattlePioneer
    @SeattlePioneer Жыл бұрын

    It may be that this would be useful in a commercial setting, or perhaps a homeowner with a lot of work to do for some reason. But for an average homeowner, I don't think so. I have two wheelbarrows, one bought new thirty five years ago, and one bought for $10 a month or so ago. How many years before the motorized barrow becomes junk? I've rebuilt and refinished both. They both now have never flat tires, a major improvement in reliability. I make a point of using my barrows frequently, such as moving groceries from the car, up the steps, through the front door to the kitchen where they can be put away in one trip. Most of that work is pretty light duty --- no need at all for a motor. I recently turned a compost pile, shoveling the pile into both barrows and then emptying them back to form a new pile. One wheelbarrow, motorized or not, can't do that. I imagine that a motorized barrow would be most useful when you have a lot of heavy material to move, especially loading a truck where you have to wheel heavy stuff up a ways. But that doesn't describe my needs, and when the occasion for such work comes along, rarely, I can simply make an extra trip or two. The task that would really recommend a motorized barrow would be transporting loads of cement to pour into forms all day. That used to be a LOT of work for men, but in recent decades concrete pumping has replaced that task. I haven't seen a commercial outfit wheeling cement in many years. Besides, heavy demands would likely flatten a battery after a while, I would GUESS. So for my needs as a homeowner, a motorized barrow is overkill and an unneeded investment. But thanks for the video! It was glad to see that I'm not missing anything!
