    For this module, what I have ever tried is a full battery that does not automatically break, bro, so how can it be automatically disconnected when the battery is full. Thanks for the tutorial ...

    good job explaining what this board is about, there is just a few questions i want to know about this board. what is the lowest and highest voltage you can set on the lower limit when the charger is activated, as well as on the upper limit when load is activated? thanks!

    A good video. When an override switch is used (6:40), it means that this module can be used simultaneously (parallel) to charge and supply the load?

    If you set the upper limit, once it crosses it, it switches to supply mode. But there is no harm in letting it stay charging, the current through the charged battery is minimal, it won’t overcharge, provided your charger is chosen with correct rating for the battery used.

    looking at your circuit, it appears that the load is disconnected while the battery is being charged. I intend this device to charge a 12v 7AH SLA alarm battery from a 12v 110AH Caravan Leisure battery supply. The SLA Battery is to used to keep power applied to a GPS/GSM tracker circuit which needs to be supplied 100% of the time. I'm pretty sure the load terminals will not provide power all the time so i may have to connect it in parallel with the SLA battery and just ignore the load terminals.

    does it work like a smart 12v battery charger? problem with smart chargers is that it cannot detect and charge a 12v battery if it is below a certain voltage. can this charge a battery below 0vdc - 8 vdc like a manual battery? thanks for the video.

    The board has 2 potentiometers, one to set top and one to set bottom limit. If the battery charge falls below bottom limit, it connects it to the charger terminal, if the charge goes over the top limit, charger terminal is disconnected. Personally, I changed top limit so it never disconnects and used charger that was recommended for the type of battery I used, so it could not overcharge it. The over discharging was my main concern.

    @@KillzoneKid thanks Kill for the quick reply. so it means i can set the lower/bottom limit to 0vdc so it can detect and charge a totally drained 12v battery. the upper limit/top limit remains at 12vdc or the specified battery charge voltage on the battery label. thanks again.

    @@newvaper3794 No, I don’t think you can set it that low and for a good reason, you will kill lead acid battery fast if you let it discharge that low, but you can set it lower than minimum recommended. I think you might want to read on specifics of lead acid battery charging

    @@newvaper3794 Reread your question. the board will start charging battery as soon as you plug the charger no matter how drained the battery, lower limit it for starting charge, if battery is below it it starts charging. so you can set it to healthy limit and if you connect empty battery it should start charging it.

    Certainly not. The charger connector is for the battery charger, there is no provision for 220vac.

    Depends, but Li-ion cells need to be charged to 4.2v per cell and ideally stop discharging at 3.7v per cell. You are better off buying 1S, 2S, 3S…etc control board, they are mosfet based and pretty cheap and don’t need any tweaking.

    A problem with this product is the levels can be adjusted in a very narrow range. So if you want to keep your lithium batteries at 80% charge, you can't do it.
